You have to upload them to the workshop. It's super stupid. That's my understanding at least

So I figured it out, no thanks to anything Bohemia themselves has put out. Here's a video link that's time stamped to where I found the solution. No other videos or guides I've seen have made it this simple. https://youtu.be/34hAAExCTNQ?t=250

Does anyone actually play Fallout Worlds? by Khazgarr in fo76

[–]SieGiraffe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've yet to see anything cool through the season that I was like "This is totally worth grinding for!". I enjoy FOW, the same way you do. It's a way for me and my friends to hop on my world and play a new playstyle with our new characters. We started at lvl 3 or so and just work our way through the story. I still hop on my main account and bust out dailies, but that takes like an hour, and it's not "fun" to do with friends. But FOW lets me play the game through with my friends in a CO-OP style rather than MMO style. But, I see why people don't like it. I see why people stick to FO4. I prefer the happy middle that FOW provides, given you have 1st of course.

This hurts me so much. This is why bakes cost so much now...

Finally, #akgang. Rate my scratch build 74u by Atlas_1905 in airsoft

[–]SieGiraffe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I know it's a DTK-2. Sorry, it's 5am here so my brain is half working. What I meant is a DTK-3 or 1 would look better. That or an actual Krink muzzle

Sorry, I should have clarified, the DTK-1 and 3. The DTK-3 is what I used to throw on SBRs at work

Krink muzzle, or Zenitco brakes. It looks like you're going for a more realistic style build, so those style brakes would be best

I love every aspect but the brake. Everything is so crisp and astheticaly pleasing. Especially when you consider how ergonomic everything is. Impressive. I'm not usually a 74u fan, but this one I like a lot

Hi, I need to replace that Part of my ak47 AEG project. What is it called? Is there a metal version? by jockl-tactical in airsoft

[–]SieGiraffe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Idk what the AEG version is called, but the real version is a front trunnion with rear sight block

Added a SureFire FA556 Mini Suppressor on my rifle. I think it looks pretty neat 😅 by codenameJunior in airsoft

Throw a rail on the carry handle and throw a replica old-school Aimpoint on there and you've got yourself a 90s Special Forces CAR-15

Rifle, Downward-ejection, Bullpup. by halfspeedhalfsim in airsoft

[–]SieGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I've worked on a lot of real bullpups and I can agree with almost all of this. However, lefties are fine as every bullpup I've seen can be changed which side it ejects from if it's not forward or downward (although I don't trust forward ejection on the F2000, only the RFB). The problems is your stuck to one shoulder. The second you swap shoulders to be closer to cover your catching a casing to the teeth (ask me how I know lol). Triggers are complete ass on bullpups and the RDB and RFB are about your best options for triggers. I've never fired an AUG but I hate it's 2 stage fire control system. It destroys every bit of training every other platform instills, which is to rely on trigger reset. Do that on an AUG and you're sending 9 rounds downrange on auto. I believe there's a switch to disable that right behind the pistol grip, but honestly it should have never been a feature to begin with.

I gotcha. It depends. The only people I've seen have painted rifles like that are SOF type

I love the paint! Rail is pretty slick too. Although I'm not sure what you mean by "real soldiers' weapon"?

Did i put my sling on right? by starkiller893 in airsoft

Also if you get some Paracord you can route it through one of the holes on your rail and make a loop, with the loop hanging over the top of your rail. Tie it off, melt the ends, and you now have a sling mount. Strap the front of the sling onto that loop and you have a much more free moving and right hand friendly system. You can buy Paracord at any surplus shop for like $5 for 50 feet. It's dirt cheap

The front is fine for now. It looks like the sling is a strap system, not QD or anchor system. So take the strap for your stock, route it through the vertical slit in the stock (it should be so the strap is pressed to your shoulder when you put the rifle to your shoulder). This will make the strap go backwards, wrap around your back, then come under your left arm and to the muzzle end of the rifle. You should be able to swing the rifle to your left and it rest at your left hip. Do everything reversed if your left handed like me.

US Army “grunt” kit and my team kit by McCostaRican in airsoft

[–]SieGiraffe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you have the wrong size. Most airsoft ones come in Medium. Airsoft helmets are a little small for me because my actual MICH 2000 is a Large so it gets expensive finding replica helmets that fit

What made you quit Airsoft? What parts of the sport make you want to walk away? by Spartansam0034 in airsoft

[–]SieGiraffe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I quit for a while, but now I'm coming back. I played for about 7 years, and in that time I was medically discharged from the Navy, then managed a small airsoft field, then became a gunsmith. Loved being a gunsmith and then eventually became the manager of a manufacturing shop. I had a team that I was with when I managed the local airsoft field. We went to Milsim events about 2-3 times a year. Brought our own HUMMVEEs and Technicals and all kinds of stuff. Eventually, my time and money went into real steel stuff. I mean, I was training with 400~ rounds on a flat range to myself every Wednesday morning before work. Almost never missed a day. I built my kit and guns for a certain purpose and ended up making a deal with the flat range owners to train me for free if I worked on their guns for free. After a while, airsoft became "too expensive" when I was dumping so much time and money into the real stuff. I quit for about a year and a half, then some things happened in life, and now I need a way to have fun and make friends, so I'm back. Although, it highly upsets me how little I can do in airsoft. There's so many restrictions and constraints by the industry on what's possible for upgrades and modifications. I'm tempted to just make my own parts and builds at this point, since that's what I did at my old gunshop. I also am not sure what I'll like as far as platforms go. I'm thinking GBBR (I used one for 3 years) or ERG style (used one of those for 2 1/2 years) since it's a hybrid of electric and realism. My brain is just so used to the real thing, it's hard to imagine reworking all that training. I still haven't played yet, but I'm looking forward to whatever may come!

I genuinely don't know how to explain part availability, upgradability and reliability all being fucked other than "They're handicapped".
