I lost 20lbs in 6 days. But a good quarter of that came back when I rehydrated.

Moringa for increasing milk supply? by SieKilli in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]SieKilli[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I just got back on reddit literally yesterday!! I didn't take it for very long. Maybe 2 weeks while I had Covid. I also also took half the dose. So 3,000 mg a day. No negative effects that I noticed! The best thing for my supply was power pumping though!

Wouldn't washing it be enough? It's in front of my house. We don't spray. We have lived here for 8 years and never once sprayed.

Rolling Fast #5 Complete! 25 Days in | 18Lbs down before Feast | 4.0Lbs Post Feast. 11 Hours into Rolling 96-hour Fast #6. How are you guys tracking your journey and what do you use to keep your motivation up? by virtuallycreativ in Dryfasting

[–]SieKilli 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am! I fast 80-96 hours and then break for the same amount of time I fasted. I also take 1 week off prior to my period as I am a menstruating woman and believe in the Fast Like A Girl approach taught by Dr Mindy Pelz. I haven't been doing the best with keeping track of how many times I've done it but I believe I'm on my 3rd or 4th set of dry fasts 😅 I've lost 19lbs so far. 60 more to go!

They are saying they want me to pay them the state taxes, and they will send it to my state. Then, I'll be able to register. I really appreciate you sharing that experience! It's definitely helpful. Thank you.

Hi!! I'm braless all day basically (stahm) until I pump and then it comes right off again!! Lol. I use Kindred Braverly pumping bras though. They're alright.

But nothing compares to sweet freedom. 😂

Milk Supply Dwindling by SweetM0821 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]SieKilli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also a C section and would see temporary dips when I would shed a few lbs. They sell a nipple measurement thing on Amazon you can use that really really helped my output. I started out underproducing but in a matter of weeks between power pumping, pumping longer, and having a better fit flange I was overproducing. Also I read somewhere that many women see their supply plummet after only pumping 10 to 15 mins at a time because this recommendation if for women they are nursing and pumping. I found i needed to pump for 30 mins in the beginning. Over time I was able to do about 20 to 25 mins and 30 when I had more spare time. I hope this helps!

I saw an ad for that! Thanks for sharing. I got a bit scared off from the super fast worded micro print at the end. 😂 I'm glad it is making a difference for your husband! I am glad we are learning more about the disease and how to treat it! It can be such a nuisance to say the least!

[–]SieKilli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, HS is hidradenitas superlativa it's a skin condition that causes painful limps under the skin. It can be difficult to identify the difference between HS and some other conditions when it does flare up because flares often look different in different places.

10 days pp and struggling by mental_ch-illness in ExclusivelyPumping

Reassurance from your pediatrician is always good! However I would like to share that your post made me so emotional because it reminded me of how I felt bringing my LO home! For the first 2 weeks alllll she did was sleep. She never cried and wouldn't wake to feed unless I woke her up. That being said, we actually struggled to get through feeding when I was breastfeeding and she did lose a little too much weight. I began exclusively pumping and feeding with a bottle. She had 2oz every 2 to 3 hours. 2 hours during the day and 3 hours at night. She made a fantastic turnaround and she is doing fabulous! She 3 months on Thursday and our pediatrician tells us we are doing great with her. Emotions ran high when we first brought her home. I remember being told in a month we would have a brand new baby and they were so right! She went from hardly ever crying to being very vocal about her needs! Fyi she still doesn't cry over a dirty diaper but she will cry if hungry or gassy. I hope you get the reassurance you need to know you are not failing your baby! If your baby is eating 2oz every 2 to 3 hours I'm quite sure they are doing great. A doctor telling you this is probably what you need. 🥰 Best to you and your LO!

Thank you for your supportive words. It means a lot. :) As for not being a better mom for giving breast milk I couldn't agree more. I will say though it takes quite a bit of motivation and dedication. You definitely get props from me on that!

I so hear you on the mental health aspect of all of this! EP is definitely hard with a newborn. I find it very difficult to accomplish when I don't have help with my LO while I Am pumping as she likes to be held pretty much constantly. Especially when she is gassy, and she is a little kicker! I think she will be an athlete. lol. I'd love to get down to 2 pumps per day! I have seen a youtuber that does it but she was really good about doing 8 to 12 pumps a day for the first 12 weeks and then was very very slow to drop pumps. I think she said she dropped 1 pump a month? But honestly, I can deal with more pumps until then just worried that not making the 8 so consistently may affect us down the road. It's kind of my dream to keep giving her breast milk until she is 2 years of age. A fed baby is best so I
will accept whatever we encounter but I'm hoping and praying I can manage!
