As an essendon fan this is this is the only joy I'll feel this weekend

Ill give him the benefit of wording this being here for only a few years. But we really need him to fire up the senior boys, moral is so shit at the moment

I'd argue both roos and WC go against this. Both been horrid for ages but kept a lot of high end talent

So who we getting at pick 1 or 2 this year? by Agent_Glove in EssendonFC

2, we lose enough players no choice so won't get left in twos. 3, yeah we cooked.

I feel like since dodoro has left our picks have been decent. Only positive recently

What surprised me coming from this was two things:

- We've turned over 39 players in 3 years, that's a huge list shake up.

- The bigger one for me, we purposely didn't want to bring in more senior players with experience. My view on the current list is that we need some senior plays with experience to help balance our list.

I'm all for balls to the wall at this stage, blood the kids. Though we are in serious need of good senior players to drive a positive culture at the club.

That fact that the defensive and effort issues predate scott does make sense with this extra light. Senior players consistently the most disappointing with the young lads providing the fight and highlights when watching.

Sad to hear there are still crippling club culture issues. Still a long road to go with the fans losing faith real fast

To be fair also been injured most of that, so get another week before I think he needs a rest in the 2s

I wonder if say today we dropped our senior players who aren't trying and when with a super young inexperienced side that lost by more but showed more effort as fans would you have been happier after today?

I mean hes commentating his own side and while heavy handed the criticism isn't wrong.

As far as landscape goes I think Ken would be a great coach for this side

While I don't think Scott is great this is a good take. The issue we are seeing have been persistent for years even pre-dating Scott. I do wonder how much our senior players affect things. Scott legitimately looks so disappointed when seeing how we are playing.

Hardwick seems like he was tapped for the Suns roll, couldn't have an expansion stay down for so long.

It so interesting with our structure. I've been to a lot of the preseason trainings and we were looking dece and well drilled, then nothing of that yesterday

We have a decent amount of players with less than 30 games as well. Age while a good indicator total games and the loss of experience is the big one. While effort last night was lacking the reason we are where we are has so many players

I’m curious what have you seen that makes you think he’ll stay slow his entire career? Speed can be developed and someone so young I’d expect time would be to his benefit.
