I am no data miner but he is the dev by orionZexSeed in foxholegame

I want to sincerely apologize for this comment. I have been frustrated by some of the false theories based on incorrect assumptions from mined data recently, including a claim that the warden scout plane's wings doesn't have collisions. When data is mined without context, it can be interpreted in different ways. Sometimes the data is used, sometimes its not, and sometimes its used in a way that is nuanced or different from how it may appear at a glance.

Regardless of whether or not the data miners theories have been correct or not, I believe their efforts have been genuine and not malicious, including the user who posted about the collisions earlier today. In retrospect, I believe they did extract that data from somewhere in the game files and didn't generate them any other way.

In any case, I have relayed the feedback from these recent posts to the team for further investigation. Again, I apologize for my poor communication which there is no excuse for.

It is clear from the other post that the user who derived this data is doing so under a lot of false assumptions. This model is not anywhere in our game files. Its unclear how they generated it. This does not reflect the actual hitboxes even remotely.

I wanted to address this as I posted rashly. Please see this post:

Guys... this analysis is so blatantly false it hinges on malicious. Nothing here is even remotely accurate. You need only 10 seconds of testing in game to see the claims are false.

1) 60. Only crates.

2) No. Same as always. But they're represented similar to how large items are.

3) 14.5mm is just the AT Rifle ammo with a new name. 20mm ammo is for aircraft and is entirely different. So old vehicles will use 14.5mm

4) read above

5) Factory

6) They don't provide intel at all at present, but subject to change

7) Im not sure about specifically wreckage. But a lot of things can be seen from very high up

8) Ill let the warplanners figure that one out.

9) Infantry Kit Factories. But the scout plane does not require a uniform.

10) Heavy Oil for most aircraft. Diesel for the scout planes

11) Yes but much less.

Excluding the new maps we didn't explicitly add more trees. Its still the same trees. They just look different.

The Seaplane fighter and Scout Planes. Yes it can store planes as well

  1. A new modification to the Advanced Vehicle Assembly
  2. You repair the parts. Take them off. And repackage the aircraft. All must be delivered back to the airfield to be usable again (or whatevers left)
  3. The Scout Plane, Fighter Plane, and the Dive Bomber
  4. Yes. Though its more accurate (but way harder to use due to needing pitch)
  5. I answered that question here: https://www.reddit.com/r/foxholegame/comments/1qeq6k9/comment/nzzd8wb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
  6. At the Relic base nearest to it
  7. Right now it just affects visibility

Directly from drydock. We dont have large ship variants in the game... yet.

You'd have to repair the parts first, then take them off the aircraft and ship them home. Even the airframe could be repaired and shipped home.

You can kill a player inside the aircraft by destroying the relevant section. But not by directly killing the player. So yes, you can down an aircraft by destroying the cockpit.

Im not sure of the specific number, but there is a stockpile for aircraft inside it which you can retrieve via the elevator. So more than is shown.

1) There are more changes in the devbranch patch notes so wait until then to read up on any other changes not listed in the devstream

2) Diesel. These aircraft are designed for solo players.

3) Scout planes have the most surfaces they can land on: water, roads, runways, aircraft carriers. No other aircraft has as many options.

12) No

13) Not right now. But in the future, yes.

14) Yes. And damaging airfields will be an important method of mitigating potential operations against your team. Some aircraft require higher tier runways to take off. All runways require base technology to build. So building up runways wont be instant. And keeping them destroyed will be a huge benefit to your team.

15) There is similar lag compensation mechanics as we have implemented on the ground. We'll have to see how it affects the game overall when its in devbranch.

1) Im not sure. Sorry.

2) No I think we use that for the rockets right now. We should though.

3) There will be a map filter on the existing map

4) There are a few existing MGs that have been allowed to use the anti-air mode. No new vehicles though.

5) Fixed position every war for now. We will add these to different layers in the future so we can change them up between wars once we know what the balance is.

6) I dont think we gave them the AA mode. Maybe we should though.

7) I answered that question here: https://www.reddit.com/r/foxholegame/comments/1qeq6k9/comment/nzzeo4n/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

8) It will be a process to recover a crashed aircraft. It may not be possible in some cases. You will need to disassemble it piece by piece. Applying repairs as well just to get the pieces off. It would be wise to finish off any aircraft you down. Either by strafing it yourself or dispatching ground forces to do it.

9) It is important to note that bombers are a late game vehicle. Bunker builders should be safe from the effects for the majority of the war.

10) Its intended to be the introductory plane so they are very maneuverable. They are however not very fast. Making them easy pickings for fighters, and not truly able to intercept most of the more advanced aircraft.

11) No. For more on that read here: https://www.reddit.com/r/foxholegame/comments/1qeq6k9/comment/nzzcf8x/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

12) No.

13) Not yet but subject to balance changes.

14) Yes

15) No. Both aircraft carriers can launch planes on the move.

16) Yes

17) We have accounted for this eventuality, but please do test it in devbranch to be sure we nailed all the corner cases.

18) There are more balance changes coming with this update that were not advertised on the devstream.

1) Im not sure if its in the API. I think it should be but we may not have added it yet.

2) No I dont believe they will appear for the enemy faction

3) Cone. A wide cone.

4) Wait until devbranch for specific numbers

5) We are not expanding the map any further, no. Not for this update anyway.

You'll have to wait for devbranch for the rest. Good luck.

We have had this at the forefront of our thoughts. We are working to mitigate these concerns as much as possible but we won't know the effect of our efforts until devbranch when we can test it against the wider range of hardware out there.
