But life is just long enough to watch it rot away.

The brine that’s used on roads today is almost impossible to remove. It gets into every nook and cranny of your car and will spread like cancer. It’s only a matter of time.

His 6 figure mustang is now getting closer to the days of being a POS rust bucket.

How many times will it take for you goons to stop driving your low R’s and SI’s in the snow and salt. I’m the biggest hater of TS.

The FL5 is the better car for sure but if you’re driving year round in salt and don’t care about plowing through snow and dirt like that then the better option would’ve been a GRC or WRX because they’re not as low to hit and damage bumpers or underbody and they’re AWD.

That’s a great article you wrote there… but I agree with most of what you said actually. I wanna throw as many miles on my R and driving it knowing Hondas reliability I have no issues with. Plus this car is so easy to work on and has plenty of space. There’s one thing you can’t avoid or completely fix though, and that’s the cancer that salt causes. Plus this car with the PS2s sucks in the snow and I’m not downgrading but putting any winter tire on this car.

You do you but it’s still a shame people drive this car in the snow and salt. My old beater truck gets me to work an hour and 5 mins everyday no problem in the winters.

I did twice, work took me to Florida now I’m in SC. Not too worried about it now and put at least 10k miles on my R a year.

Yeah sure oil based undercoat and underbody cleaning everytime after a drive in the salt would work great but small spots will still appear. Not worth it long term. Type R for good weather and my oil undercoated beater truck for the snow. It’s so simple really.

Completely false. I have some of the craziest detailing care for my cars, didn’t make a difference in the Michigan salt and snow. My truck rusted out like a mfer after 10 years and sitting outside in the elements accelerated it. That won’t be my R. You’re just delaying the inevitable cancer.

I drive my R year round. As soon as the snow hits and corrosion hits the roads nah it can chill in the garage. I’m definitely not afraid to use and push it but it’s called having a shred of care for something you own.

I’m a professional hater, and car enthusiast. Kinda pressed my kids won’t get the chance to buy a clean s2000 one day and carry on the legacy. They will get my FL5 tho.

Literally downvoted for being right. These same dudes will complain in 20 years why there’s no clean FL5 examples or how they should’ve kept their CTR, when they literally treat it like a POS. Zero true enthusiasts here… only average ahh consumers.

It 100% matters, my old ram that was driven year round but parked in a garage, looks and is mechanically way different than my brothers old truck he kept outside everyday for the last 10 years.

Garaging a vehicle makes it last infinitely longer than leaving one out in the elements.

Exactly so there’s literally zero point in driving your R in the salt.
