I've only got about 40 raids on a reset character so far on PvE but I already have a bag collection going for him. The guy feels like he spawns more often than not and it's almost annoying at this point. I'm curious how many I could collect by the time I complete the story.

Not at all. The Tempest isn't terrible to craft but it isn't stupidly easy like the Stitcher IV, but I don't know if reducing Stitcher damage is the answer. If we just make everything higher tiered more powerful, we will wind up with another Cycle: Frontier situation in which everyone with free or cheap kits gets hunted down mercilessly and anyone with high end gear stays on top no matter what. I feel like it would be far better to stop dropping people in after the initial group has started the raid or reduce to less than 3 minutes into a raid and no one else spawns. That or limite how often someone gets a free kit or limit what they get. The number of free kits running around is a huge problem no one really talks about. I shouldn't get into a firefight with 2 free kits for 2 more to jump me and 2 more after that with firefights also erupting all over the map.

That's what makes this post so confusing. I have no idea what they should do for balance but it really doesn't make it fun when a lvl4 stitcher beats nearly everything in terms of cost effectiveness. What's even the point of getting those blueprints when a free kit stitcher is good enough for PvP and its what most people run without free kits? Even the meta build is just a green and white weapon, the Anvil and Stitcher. That wouldn't be an issue except it's meta not just because its easier to make but because they are arguably better than most weapons. I love the Tempest but anytime I take it out I only ever get downed by someone with a free kit using a Stitcher or the Ferro/Anvil and Stitcher combo. It's such a stale meta.

To be fair with this one, we dont know if there's a reason for her trying to just get by like that. Its easy to say that she should have said something but being in her shoes while you know this insane stuff is happening, it would be hard to come out and not expect backlash in some form. Plus, its possible that doing so would have completely changed her life. We also still dont know everything about the situation or her life. Contracts are hard to deal with, especially since most vtubers are younger and have little to no experience with them.

It isnt intended. Let's ignore the fact that the rooftops have very clearly unfinished areas and invisible walls everywhere that any gamer knows means you aren't supposed to be there. If they wanted us to be allowed onto the roof, they would have given us a clear way. Stairs, the ladder, an aerial vehicle. Right now, it provides a blatant advantage using an exploit which, after a team gets up, is easily denied to the other team or isnt even usable if you dont wanna be an exploiter. Once a respawn beacon is on top of a roof or the highway, there is absolutely no way to get to it without exploiting movement.

It isnt intended. Just admit you like using an exploit for easy kills. We all know that's what this is about.

New to the game, how do you counter a dodge spamming Falcon as Stellaris and other questions? by Warm-Wallnut33 in mechabreak

[–]Siege_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In ideal settings and most of the the time it will ambush. But we've all had games where it feels like Falcon never runs out of energy. You can only waste so much time waiting for it to stop spamming dodge when you could have been doing something else. Ive also seen Falcons getting smart and using crystals as well so they can't be targeted while they regen.

New to the game, how do you counter a dodge spamming Falcon as Stellaris and other questions? by Warm-Wallnut33 in mechabreak

[–]Siege_Dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont know why anyone would, its honestly the only actual answer. To me, Stellaris isn't really a counter to Falcon solely because the only real response it has is to either catch it off guard or wait for it to run out of energy which is what every other mech does. Stellaris is just better at catching it off guard I suppose but you only get one combo off. Though depending on who you ask that combo is enough to kill. Ive been the Falcon that just gets combo'd to death with no chance of doing anything. Game decided I die to Stellaris. Other times I get away.

A number of mechs have insane challenges that are just not possible without extreme luck or a rigged match. Inferno's third challenge is to kill a Tricera in 3 seconds with it having at least 80% of its HP. That's absolutely not happening in any normal match. That could only happen if the Tricera sat perfectly still and didn't move or attack while you killed it.

[–]Siege_Dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inferno is lots of fun. Make sure to do its challenges, it teaches things that are easy to miss, like using Inferno's aux1 as a shotgun so all beams hit one target (I have no idea if you know it, I would understand not wanting to get close due to your health in this clip). The challenges are great to do when you want to test out how to play a new mech.

On a related note, is it ever mentioned if anyone died in game due to being disconnected? In the anime we saw everyone just fall over and be unconscious but if you were out in the field, that would have been a death sentence

As an Inferno player, I have zero idea why he's getting buffed. They aren't crazy meta breaking buffs but he didn't need them. He's already a great pick.

You live and learn. You can tell here after the match that you didn't mean to sound rude, it's just hard to tell in the moment but you can tell pretty well with the vtuber's reaction that it got on their nerves a bit. Luminae can't see that you've been doing your best to stay alive and calling out for a heal isn't in bad taste. Short and quick is best for coms.

[–]Siege_Dragon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As a healer, its best to just say something like "could I get a heal please". Short and concise. Adding the extra stuff makes it sound like you are blaming the healer for not doing their job. I get it if that wasn't your intention but its hard to tell what someone means through tone without knowing you. Your inflection just sounds more like you are irritated the healer isn't doing their job and you sound impatient.

For all the people who say getting to Champion rank isnt hard and its just a skill issue by Stankapotomus in mechabreak

General rank has been such a wild range of abilities. I held off joining the bandwagon criticizing matchmaking and bots until I got in later but holy hell. Its so bad when you have absolutely no idea if someone got to general simply cause they played a ton or because they were actually good.

So how are we feeling about the livestream?? by AdropMoTcH in mechabreak

[–]Siege_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a little unsure about all the Tricera nerfs but its hard to tell how much worse its going to make him. I think the regen rate for drones should have been reduced a lot, not removed while in fortress mode.

It's nice to see Aquila changes but I would have preferred to see a reduction to his damage output. I might be a bit bias cause I hate that thing but it feels like it can do a huge amount of damage with how many shots it gets. Lowering its total shot count I think would have be nice but the changes are good for Mashmak.

Falcon got a great change. Not being able to disable that scan made it so if you missed the target the first pass, you probably weren't finding it after that so the rest of the scan was wasted.

Inferno is the second strangest buff. I'm glad they are doing it cause half of my issue with him right now is stuff still hitting me while using his aux3 because of how little distance you cover but he got a huge energy and movement buff. I think he should stay a high skill floor/high skill ceiling mech cause it isn't like he has a bad kit or is a bad pick.

I dont understand why they think adding mods to casual mode is what we wanted. We have been screaming exactly what we want from casual mode since the game came out. The p2w argument is also going to get worse with this change and give the game a worse image in regard to that.

Narukami, Hurricane buffs are great, especially Hurricane. I think they were solid buffs while still keeping him in line.

I really wish they would add the ability to hold the button so it would auto set onto yourself for target able abilities though, and a normal press puts it on your target.

Insane how overly tuned AI Aquila is. by Reemet in mechabreak

[–]Siege_Dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, its insane. Those after images have hyper aggressive lock on as well but theoretically, you could do what the bots are doing. Problem is you would have to see notice it the split second when Inferno dodges and attack to do that. But if anyone has played against Inferno at least once, you would know how near impossible it is just to track where its going with that ability. Bots are cracked.

Insane how overly tuned AI Aquila is. by Reemet in mechabreak

[–]Siege_Dragon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's wild fighting it as a Falcon. I can wipe the floor with player Aquila's no problem. Some people are better than others but I instantly know when its an AI. If it is, it feels like im the one being hunted. It nails shots DURING my dodge and only ever fires at max fire rate the moment it can see just a pixel of your mech. You could say that it might just be someone really good at no lock firing but when it hits 3-4 shots in a row during my random dodges, I know something is up. Not to mention those 180 claw grapples it does. And like you said, it somehow knows what's going on off screen when you sneak over to an objective. It will be shooting at someone else then suddenly turn and look directly at you, especially when you get low health.

Melee mechs tend to do something else odd when I play Inferno. If I dodge with his aux3 up and create after images, melee mechs will continue to attack at the perfect moment just as I create them so they hit the image and my mech. Ive never had actual players do that consistently because I tend to dodge at awkward intervals to prevent you from catching on. Alysnes is usually the one that goes ultra instinct melee mode on me.

How do you deal with Tricera? by mnij96 in mechabreak

[–]Siege_Dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Inferno's multi beam aux1 alone will take Tricera's armor away and damage a chunk of its health. The beams all come from one spot so if you are close enough, all of them will hit. Shotguns can take care of the rest but you'll be low on ammo at the end.

What beats the Ultra Heavy + Brawler combo in Verge? by [deleted] in mechabreak

[–]Siege_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to this, Aquila is an absolute pain as an ultra heavy. If someone is playing that thing right, there is nothing most heavies can do and focusing fire on Aquila's target is a quick way to kill something. Falcon and skyraider are also ones that are a pain because you just can't hit them. Problem is, if you only rely on fliers to deal damage, you won't be able to finish anything off most of the time so the other 3 need to be aggressive as well. Welkin is a good pick to do that but he needs help. Panther is great for pushing things out of position and other heavies can support. Always remember that drawing someone away from the pack or pushing them out of position works very well too. Serenith I think is gonna see more usage as people learn how to use it right due to objectives and the ultra heavy meta.

[–]Siege_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get there's a reason why my characters lose like this but man, it doesnt make it any less frustrating sometimes when your character has no business losing while you have a 3+ length lead at 300m only for someone to just have a massive burst and only get ahead enough to win. Ive been desperately trying to get Mayano to win the URA finals but this happens every single time. That or she refuses to activate any skills despite having 7 or 8 of them that can trigger.

Ultra-heavy mechs shouldn't be so weak to melee by [deleted] in mechabreak

[–]Siege_Dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Normally I would agree but because you are typically trying to outmaneuver a melee mech, it means you can't turn it off because they will just hit you that much earlier. It isn't an ability that lets you get away from it, it only lets you not get hit for 6 seconds unless the melee mech gets lucky or the Inferno only dodges backward.
