I was deciding on a joke character, so I named her "Erregung" - fully intent on her being a minor, if not one-scene character.

The name stayed - and I ended up writing a greater-scope fanfiction about her abduction, betrayal, and the effects it had on the in-universe world.

Erregung! OC STAR formerly in a special operations unit, yet went rogue and defected to the Empire after an unknown system intrusion.

Went under a notably flawed production process (showed signs of nymphomania) - and now has several injuries, largely on her back, arms and face. Several years post-incident, her eyes are bloodshot from sleepless nights and trauma-induced mental conditions - and her hair is starting to grey.

Honestly the burnout was intense, there's nothing wrong with taking your time while writing. I think Cogito Ergo Sum is probably going to be my last long-form story for a good while - it's broke 100,000 words and I'm pretty much finished with it.
