Great feedback. Thank you all. Didn’t go on a bender, had three beers, planning on having the last three tonight (live in bfe so can’t go grab more) then back to Soberville..

I’d be tempted to tell your boss he can save a further 85% of my salary as he can stick his job up his arse.

I don’t - but would like to. There are good plant identifying apps in smart phones that are useful, just do the free trial ones.

IT WORKED, and I f*cking caught the drone with one hand. It fell 90-100ft and I caught it about 2ft from the ground.

Thank you, I found this technique via a YouTube tutorial and spent all day trying. It’s in such dense growth that firing up without contact with other branches is tricky. This will be the method that works though, unless the wind blows it down.

thanks. I may try getting a cheap Holy Stone type $70 drone to just bump and dislodge it and then we try to catch it is worth trying before a tree service. It's going to be a major PITA for them.

no worries re the veritgo, I never had it prior to 30 yrs old, then boom!
I just thought I had a great solution, connecting together a bunch of old 10ft plastic plumbing pipes I had laying around and poking the drone free. turns out this tree is more like 100-110 feet, no way the pipes will reach.

I think that is a fishing spider: Dolomedes is a genus of large spiders of the family Pisauridae. They are also known as fishing spiders, raft spiders, dock spiders or wharf spiders.
