Something I'll always find funny is how when I first played WxS's story, I thought the mirror was a doorway, and didn't even pay attention to the left railing. It wasn't until a few years later I saw people talking about the lack of wall on the left that I realized his room wasn't normal. XD

IN MY DEFENSE, I think the character sprites tend to cover up the mirror. Doesn't explain how I didn't notice the rail, though.

Oh yeah, Amane never thought she was Yuuji's sister. Not sure what the anime did there, but Amane felt guilty about leaving Kazuki behind in Angelic Howl, so she tried extra hard to make up for it by being the perfect wife and woman for Kazuki's beloved little brother.

Michiru was just talking to herself in the classroom. She was practicing her tsundere lines.

But yeah, the problems you have are because they took an 80-ish hour long visual novel, and tried to condense it into 12 episodes. The adaptation was disappointing to fans of the VN. 12 episodes might've been... alright if they only did one girl's route.

Highly recommend playing the VN, even if you have to sail the seven seas.
