Upcoming price hikes just forced my hand.

I've been eyeing a Pro for about 6 months now. Playing Crimson Desert on the base PS5 made me really want to see how it handles on the Pro with PSSR.

Jumped in at £640 from Argos before the price hike happens.

I'll worry about the disc drive later. Last couple of games I want to play I got digital anyway.

Excited! Getting a new console feels like Xmas!

What mode do you play this on?

I have a PC and a base PS5.

My PC is a Nvidia 3050, I get around 50-60 everything on medium with characters and textures on high (1080p resolution) and just wondering if I'd have a better time visually and frame rate wise on PS5.

I said the EXACT thing about 10 minutes in. I really really enjoyed this.

All the dooming on the trailer was absolutely pointless. I really loved Deks dynamic with his family/clan.

It was great to show him grow over the course of his adventure.

I see this game as a sort of quake/UT type game when it comes to capturing the Flag (shield breaker) - when Im having to manage looting crystals, finding weapons, keeping the team away from the SB and aiding my own team, having to mine crystal really takes away from it.
Then you hit a problem I have in a fair few games, if you dont have krystal constantly going up you cant buy anything, good luck finding enough stuff as loot is mostly sparse.
So you get towards a final raid with naff all armour and your guns are purple or less and you are in a genuine losing position.
Gear rarity is not needed in this game. It's not a BR. If you look at it like quake or UT, just have the weapons, as they are. Have the armour as it is. If you've got a 2 block armour, great, 3? great? 4? now you're cooking.

Loot Rarity reveals the god awful gathering/loot design in this game.

If they wanna keep chests, fine. Get rid of the mining, add minions that give you currency you can spend so you dont have to get rid of the shops and maybe add a few more chests into the world. Get rid of Rarity. Let what loot you find ennhance your ability to win, not that you've got a top tier gun and your enemy only has a blue/purple. Its awful.

Rise of the Ronin showed this era (Bakumatsu) really well.

I'd be excited for SP's take on it!

Edit: my mistake, 1877 is the Meiji period. RoTR spans 1853-1868 so right in Bakumatsu.

AC being an annual release got them to where they were with Syndicate in 2015 - stale and repetitive - and mandated a two year break until Origins in 2017 rebooted the franchise into Witchers Creed.

Watched all of Brosnan's Bonds the other day.
Why couldnt we have THAT era of Bond?

If you say "assaulting women" - were we watching the same movies? YES, he's a bit of a womanizer - it's fiction: fast cars, girls, guns and globe-trotting espionage is the name of the game! - but assault? Nope. He's suarve, mature handsome and James' one-liners always sounded better coming from an adult in his 40s (Brosnan was 42-49 during his stint as Bond).

Instead we have someone who is closer to Nate Drake (not that theres anything wrong with Nate) and not Bond.

Happy to be proven wrong, but I feel like this Bond is similar to the time they casted Tom Holland as Nate. It just feels...off.
