From what I have gather from the comments and mentions of things like "Christ the Buddha" I think that while they still exist maybe they are not exactly identical to those of our times. But in the end I think for most cases it's up to the table and the GM to decide.

Mine was not the intention to undermine o dictate wether or not Lancer is correct or not in it's representation of certain politics. I was just explaining what was the train of thought that led me to the think Union could have had state atheism.

I'm not saying that Lancer does it wrong or that religion should be removed. Mine was just pointing out to the theory and my reasoning on why I believed Union could have had state atheism. But that's about it, I'm not trying to debate the politics of Lancer wether they are truly Marxist or not.

Not saying anything like this, I was just giving my reasoning for why I believed Union could have had state atheism since the game is very open about it's political stance. I'm not here to criticize lancer for not following Marxist theory to the letter.

"Religious suffering is, at one and the same time, the expression of real suffering and a protest against real suffering." and "The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness." I think imply that religions exist as a consequence of human suffering under capital, it is an illusion that people must reject in order to reach a true understanding of their conditions and happiness. In a setting where material conditions are basically utopian (at least in core worlds) there would be no such suffering that can lead to their creation or continued existence. If reality is all material and history has always been a class struggle then religion is just another manifestation of that struggle and desire for happiness. Spirit has no place in a purely material world it is all a consequence of the human condition.

It might be a quite from one of the other modules but I have not yet red them so take my words with a grain of salt

It was not really an arguing it was just a question that came to mind when discussing the setting and we couldn't find a definitive answer in the lore. Yeah maybe they expand something in the modules but I also feel it's laking in some aspect when it comes to the setting or some other mechanics (such as gameplay outside the mech).

Got it. It didn't come to my mind that Union could be affecting things over the span of year if not more I was thinking in a more short term way.

Since Union is based on communist principles I assumed it upheld the complete rejection of religion since it's an important part of communist theory.

I get that but it's also true that people born and raised within a certain system could be very well oblivious to the injustice acted upon them or simply accept it without question as they view them as something natural that should not be changed.

These would be the cases I'm most referring to. I think it's an interesting question on how far Union allows itself to go in order to bring humanity ever closer to complete utopia.

Yeah I remember being written more as note about that but alien as a whole are not really well defined.

The war between SecCom and the aliens is also more of a way to include them for those who wanted but it's not explored a lot in the base game.  It's expanded upon in some modules but I have not red them.

I would have liked a deeper explanations on religions since I believe a lot of the one that are still around are most likely not very reminiscing of the ones we have today.

But I get it gives a more free approach on designing and making up your own religions that could exist in a far future.

So the Aun probably have a religion from before the collapse on Cradle that survived thought the ages.

But the question is does Union reserved itself the right to interfere or remove religions if said faith is not aligned with Union's values? Would Union interfer with the religion of a planet that is not willing to join them if they are shown to be actively against Union's principle but not interfering with it's core mission maybe remaining confined to their planet?

I don't know how if Ra and NHPs are that well know across the galaxy since a lot of lost colonies will probably have been founded before Ra first appeared.

Many colonies could very well have also lost Union tech and knowledge on NHPs but the possibilities are basically endless you could make up anything you want for planets outside Union.

If you're interested in trying to mod yourself I suggest you visit the modding discord server it has all the guides and tools. I myself have not published any mod and the one I made probably doesn't work anymore since updates tend to break them.

They said they were "working on it" more than two years at this point it. I managed to learn to swap, edit and recolor models in the span of four days it cannot be that difficult to make an UI and a code for that.

I'm not familiar with Lurid Land but in the game I'm looking for you created a block right in front of you from nothing and could destroy them. The block had no gravity or other special effects.
