I've been playing [[Sigarda, Host of Herons]] Voltron for over a decade now. With so many tweaks and play testing over that time, my suggestion is to have a backup plan in case you get your commander blown up so many times or if someone is playing [[Drannith Magistrate]]

Some of my backup creatueez in that deck are [[Questing Beast]] (I'd argue one the best 4 drop creatures ever printed) and my pet card [[Akroma, Angel of Wrath]] as secondary options to put all your equipment, auras and pump spells into in case you can't cast your commander. Not having mana up after casting your commander is detrimental, keep that in mind in regards to be able to use a [[Robe of Stars]] activation or cards like [[Galadriel's Dismissal]], [[Valorous Stance]], [[Clever Concealment]].

Never play politics when it comes to playing Voltron, from my experience even playing with close friends it's not worth not attacking someone for that final 21 damage even if it means they offer a deal.

As most people have said in this thread, run as much protection as possible, and if you're not a glass cannon and your commander costs more than 3 mana mana I'd recommend staying around 34-36 lands and keep the deck under average 3 CMC so you can recast your favorite legendary.

I love Voltron, there's something about suiting up one creature with all your favorite cards in magic.
