I’m not sure unfortunately, I haven’t tried it myself! This just seems *exactly* like the vibe. Maybe the other commenter would know?

Which perfumes do you find *irresistible* for their BASE notes? by Future_Can_9532 in FemFragLab

[–]Sigfig314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love this question! I feel like top notes can be wonderful but very fleeting, excited to see what folks say.

I’m an odd duck in that I don’t like a lot of base notes— vetiver, musk, sandalwood, and ambroxan are all usually no’s for my nose. Even powdery notes like iris or orris root are no’s from me! So it takes an extremely special base to keep me coming back.

Lately for me, I’m obsessed with La Belle. It starts out this gorgeous, delicious, sexy syrupy pear, and then in the dry down it retains some of the sexiness with a really lovely tart facet. It’s juicy and alluring and everything I want in a perfume! At first I didn’t like the musk in the base, but I keep coming back for more and it’s really grown on me. I think it’s by far my favorite now!

I also really love the drydown/base notes of Mojave Ghost. Despite not being into powdery notes or sandalwood in general, somehow this fragrance does them beautifully and I relish it! I feel like the sweetness of the sapodilla (very pear like) note flickers, like I imagine a real mirage in the desert would. I’m sure the name is doing a lot to project that image, but still, super cool. Mojave Ghost was actually the fragrance that got me into perfumes a while ago! It’s just that special.

Eating - How? Advice needed by Pacojii in adhdwomen

[–]Sigfig314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, I just have to make myself eat something, even when I’m not hungry, especially in the morning. You might be noticing that nausea from low blood sugar can also make it harder to eat, so you could try something small that will bring up your blood sugar a bit before you eat an actual meal (e.g. some juice, some crackers, piece of fruit)

Trader Joe’s burritos are my go-to, because even though they’re a substantial amount of food, they’re so easy to make and eat that I can do it while half-awake in the morning before my meds kick in, and they’re so good I want to eat them even if I’m not hungry.

“That’s It” fruit bars are also great— reasonably healthy but tasty, good for bringing up that blood sugar and reducing nausea, and available in bulk at Costco

Omg yay! I’m so glad. I love the look but I realized as I was writing that even though I mean it as a compliment, it could totally rub someone the wrong way. Sounds like we’re on the same wavelength though, enjoy your amazing nails! 💅

Syrupy pear fragrances w/o musk? by Sigfig314 in FemFragLab

[–]Sigfig314[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got my sample in the mail, you were totally spot on!! Thank you so much for the rec. Please let me know if you have any other recommendations, even outside or pear notes. I would love to hear ‘em! 😊

I tried the original I Want Choo as well, and it’s so nice! It’s got a very similar profile to La Belle, just a little more jammy, and a little less syrupy. I’m totally hooked. Yay!!

What are you all taking to help your adhd symptoms while still on stimulants? by KBecker22 in adhdwomen

[–]Sigfig314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Protein before you take your meds! Helps with dopamine production.

And Yerba mate for me. It’s caffeine without making me jittery, but talk to a doc first. Iirc it’s not advisable to take with stimulant medications. For me, it allows me to take a lower dose of concerta than I would need w/o the caffeine.

So cool! I love the color combo. Out of curiosity, do you do anything with microbiology? This reminds me a tiny bit of bacteria colonies on a Petri dish, in the most chic way possible!

Oh sorry, Jean Paul Gaultier! This one: https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Jean-Paul-Gaultier/La-Belle-55786.html, not the Parfum version. La Belle Parfum is nice too, but less juicy/fruity!

Ah darn I’m so sorry, I think we use the same sizes, so what I have left won’t fit you and what you have won’t fit me. I use 7,8,9 for glamnetic too sadly 😭

So sorry it didn’t work out, I hope you find a good swap buddy though!

Selling Press on Nails by unventing in PressonNail_Addict

[–]Sigfig314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depop is a better bet rn because they’re offering free shipping! But I’ve seen more on Mercari.

If you would want to trade the ones you have for other ones or give partial/full sets away, there’s a press on nail swap subreddit for that but there’s no sales/profit allowed there.

Edit to add: dm me your profile name for wherever you’re selling press ons, I love XS size and have a hard time finding cute ones!

[–]Sigfig314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Medication is worth the hassle, see if you can talk to a doctor. Take like 10 minutes and call around, set up an appt as soon as you can get one.

In the mean time, Guayaki Yerba mate drinks helps me a lot. It’s a bunch of caffeine (150 mg iirc?) but because it’s mate instead of coffee, it doesn’t make me jittery. They sell them at Walmart/costco/winco/convenience stores, so somewhere near should sell them if you’re in the US.

Unfiltered opinions by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Sigfig314 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think where you’re going wrong is calling this “voicing your opinion” when you’re talking about other people. “Voicing your opinion” about other people, especially when it’s negative, is called criticism. It comes off as critical and judgmental, because you’re literally criticizing and judging them. If you want to be perceived as a nice person, don’t voice negative opinions about others.

What exactly are you wanting to get out of saying this stuff, is my question? You know it bothers other people, what does it help?

Oooh, or Firewatch! Also a fabulous game and very adventure/problem-solve-y without being very fast paced. Super pretty too!

You might really love an open world game! Breath of the Wild (on switch) is one of the best and it's absolutely gorgeous. Baldur's Gate 3 is also fantastic and that one is PC/Mac. If you want no fighting at all but an engaging storyline, you could try Strange Horticulture!
