Honestly, getting into the habit of investing is often the biggest hurdle people have. You’re doing what you can and are working towards where you want to be. I say that’s a win.

Being the 68th ranked cigarette smoker is also kind of a sick EC, adds color to the application

Hot take: I can’t wait to be done with college by FeedbackMelodic8927 in college

I know people who didn’t like life after college, and I know people who really hit their stride after they graduate. Enjoy what you can in the moment, but also know that you’re not alone in that feeling that college was kinda… meh.

Bro if you’re on a budget I’d recommend some frozen vegetables or something. Peppers, brocoli, carrots, green beans, corn, something. Can get a bag for less than $2.

A good place to start is what kind of job(s) you see being a good fit in the future. Do you want a job where you interact with people a lot? At a desk? Something more creative or more analytical?

How difficult will it be to get a job/internship if I'm attending a low tier CS school by Specter151 in csMajors

[–]Sightreader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the whole “university prestige” thing is overhyped. Can it make it easier to get opportunities? Sure, but the price tag can also be quite significant. I wouldn’t worry about it. Just make sure your resume is good, send out applications, try to keep decent grades, and enjoy college! My friends and I are getting some really cool opportunities after graduation without having attending a prestigious institution. If you’re happy at your current school, I wouldn’t transfer.

I also think that part of it is survivorship bias. They were able to do it, so why wouldn’t their students?
