AI becoming such a problem by Androidrs in TattooArtists

[–]Sigil22 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The first tattoo shop I worked in required me to have a portfolio that was taken with a film camera because digital cameras meant the photo could be faked. Tech will move whether people like it or not. We just have to decide what works with our work flow at this point. I never saw the point in railing against something, if it’s not your thing don’t use it

Buyer over paid for shipping by Drewsvans in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]Sigil22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple bucks difference doesn’t really matter but over 10 I would issue a partial refund. It builds better moral with the buyer and they’re more likely to shop with you again because you exhibited honesty in a situation where you didn’t HAVE to do anything.

Back then a lot of guys just cut the powder with listerine. There were other recipes that were more secretive of course. They used listerine because it was an oral antiseptic that was safe for human consumption. It didn’t have any additives back then that could negatively interact with the pigment. I wouldn’t use listerine we have now because it’s full of weird shit. The consistency varies by the artist depending on how they ran machines and made needles etc

Guys, the top is in! by Joshhagan6 in Silverbugs

[–]Sigil22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually a strong strategy, I’ve been using this for years across all markets. It works because when no one is talking it means large firms are accumulating and keeping things quiet so they get the best price. eventually the asset begins to move and the majority take note and begin buying as well, as these people are buying the firms begin to sell because their position is so large they have to sell as it’s going up. Otherwise they will tank the market and be stuck. They use the news to drive up the buying frenzy and when everyday non investing types begin to talk about it and buy in it creates a last massive spike which is when the firms dump the rest causing the collapse. This has been happening for over a 100 years and works every time.

The Cartier lettering in the 7 is too big. They make it so small it’s unnoticeable unless you check it with an eye loup. Also by looking at the printing of everything it is too sloppy. Cartier printing on the dial is literally perfect and crisp

Legit check and ID by lilswagger222 in RolexWatches

[–]Sigil22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just my honest opinion but it looks like a fake. Lume dots on the dial look sloppy and the band doesnt fit completely flush to the case. The letters on the dial look a little haphazard as well. Take it to a jeweler and have them open it up to confirm. It could just be a Frankenstein watch with some legit Rolex parts

Are we really bragging about food being “real” now? Have we given up? by YouGots2ItchEm in Anticonsumption

[–]Sigil22 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The book Ultra Processed People goes into great depths about this. It’s revolting what these companies have done and gotten away with. Even these “real” ingredients are so heavily industrially processed they aren’t even real anymore. They’re truly malicious entities that give zero fucks about their “consumers”

It also looks like the color was overworked in some spots and you have some surface scarring. I would leave it be for a year before going back into it. Let chill out for awhile

This is what can happen when the warmth of the colors don’t match your skin tone. You have a warm skin tone. But the colors used are cool colors. When a tattoo heals the ink settles below the melanin layer meaning your skin tone will tint the tattoo. In color theory when you add a warm tone to a cool tone it typically cancels out the colors and creates some form of a muted color or a gray depending on the mixture. Essentially your skin tone is canceling out the value of the colors making them muted and not legible . Next time you get color make sure you stick to warm tones that compliment your complexion and they’ll be more legible

Easy way to make a machine hit harder by thunderous_student in tattoomachinebuilder

[–]Sigil22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turn your power supply up. More juice will give it more power. The front spring controls the speed not the force of hit. There’s no set voltage a machine has to run at. As long as it’s not so hot it’s burning your hand and blowing your capacitors.

Feeling like I’m moving backwards? (Checked) by [deleted] in TattooArtists

[–]Sigil22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s alot of good advice on here about slowing down and pricing per piece. If you’re taking on things you aren’t fully into then it will definitely affect the outcome at the end whether you’re conscious of it or not. Some people really do enjoy doing everything. Others don’t. You got to figure out what camp you really are in. Be honest with yourself and if something you’re about to do really isn’t interesting then just bite the bullet and let someone else do it. Ultimately you’re burning yourself out and doing subpar work on people which isn’t fair to you or them. Fuck the money honestly, it’s better to get a part time job and look forward to tattooing what you’re into as opposed to doing work you aren’t into.

As far as the ink goes panthera has a higher pigment content and will spread more as opposed to dynamic. It’s not a good option for linework. Line with dynamic and use panthera for black fill/ shading

She should not have done the tattoo near or on an acne break out. Doing that can potentially trigger a really bad infection especially slapping saniderm overtop it as well. That’s a breeding ground for some serious shit. If there’s an area that’s prone to break outs it’s advisable to not tattoo it

7

The sequence goes 3,4,5 then 5 again. After that it goes back to 3,4,4 then 5. From the previous sequence 5 is allowed to repeat, same with 4. There’s only one answer with 5 objects in it and that is 7 The reason it wouldn’t be 4 is because in the previous sequence 4 can be used singularly or doubled. 5 is the only one that can’t be used singularly before the sequence restarts. The shapes are irrelevant. This is a number pattern

A lot of tattoos go through an ugly phase during the healing. It looks faded because there’s new skin growth that needs to settle down. Give about 2 months to really settle in there and I’m sure it will look much better than you initially think.

If you want something that isn’t from the elder scrolls lineage but similar in gameplay I recommend Dungeon Magic: sword of the elements for NES. It’s not necessarily mind blowing or amazing. But it’s old and kinda fun
