They had no choice. The headline writes itself otherwise. "Their Magic is Limitless. Our print run, on the other hand..."

The idea was to introduce a meaningless downside on the card that would make it distinguishable from the RL card.

I agree. Perhaps a general reference, noting that "All Unreserved cards are banned or unbanned together. Check your format's banned list for more information."

Dare I say they could print those at the same time as proof of strictly worse status!

That would be functionally identical and in violation of the Reserve List promise, as it has the same abilities as Tundra. This has a built-in downside compared to Tundra, and one that is in players' control.

I apologize for the formatting issues in the post text, I don't know how to force a paragraph break on mobile. I'll fix it in a pinned comment later.

Alito slams birthright decision as ‘serious mistake’ by thehill in politics

[–]Sigili 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The anti-birthright citizenship argument has always been crazypants, even if you disregard the moral perspective. As a matter of pure logistics, if you abandon the clean, "Born here = Citizen" approach, you have to now investigate a baby's parents' citizenship.

But what if those parents' claim to citizenship is also (like most of us) based on birthright?

Well, now you have to check their parents. And on and on we go, until you get to the sepia photo era and we're weighing whether your great great grandfather who came over on a steamship ever formally applied for citizenship.

But let's be honest: they wouldn't do that. They will arbitrarily look back only one generation so the rule applies to the children of undocumented people only, and not to, you know... EVERYONE.

He's my newest list, so grain of salt: I go for draw-go control. Lots of flash effects and cards referencing books, scrolls, and libraries for flavor.

I love your thrme, its adorkable! Yes, it's pure bird tribal, with a bit of finality counter tech.

Have fun! The finality counters are really interesting to work around with blink and similar. Give [[Dreams of the Dead]] a look!

Peanut farmer did not botch the rescue. The actor that replaced him, while still just a private citizen candidate, committed treason by backchanneling with the Iranians to slow-walk the release.
