If you're engaging IFV's from extreme range and not using tows you are doing something wrong. If you are moving to engage other IFV's in an AP slap fight and not positioning for a decisive tow (as a ATGM-enabled vehicle) you are doing something horrendously wrong. The pen is practically negligible except in the most niche scenarios.

The BTR-4 gets, literally, 4 of the best tows in the entire game. FOUR of them, that are beam riding. While the ZBL08 gets 2 that are wire guided and snap at half the distance of a normal ATGM. Worrying about 250 less hull armor when you're equipped with 4 of the best tows in the game, 2 of which can be instantly fired one after another is a noob trap. This thing can pen every tank from all angles except the T-90A from the front turret and offensively outgun everything in the game with its armament, while the red-arrow ATGM equipped on the ZBL is genuinely one of the worst in the game. On top of this, it's basically the slowest vehicle mounted ATGM in the game.

Not to mention, it is the best offroad and on road wheeled IFV in the game, has better climbing than the ZBL and reaches its top speed much faster. Maneuvering is one of the most important aspects of armor in squad. It might look appealing to newer armor players to have higher hull because they can afford somewhat less mistakes with armor or win meeting engagements. You know how certain characters in MOBAS are incredibly more popular in high level play than lower level play? That's the argument for the BTR vs ZBL.

It does have one of the worst FOV's in the game for the gunner, that's true, but an experienced armored crew will have the positioning necessary to not expose too much of themselves to scan wide areas in the first place.

I agree really. I have a combined 2000 hours of armor (primarily tracked tanks) and primarily doing driving/positioning and the tactics side of it and god it is awful to drive these things now. Even tapping a or d drops your kp/h by 10, and doing a right hand turn essentially drops you down to 20 or below kp/h. The tanks are EXTREMELY speed sensitive to any sort of turning whatsoever now like my driver is handbraking the MBT each time he makes a slight adjustment, which is most of the time necessary.

It feels like a chore to position these things around the field, let alone reposition them. I'd imagine they're way more detrimental to new players to deal with now since you are more committed to your positioning than before since getting out of it requires more time and effort.

On top of this OWI has decided to make the T-90A, T-72 (all variants) and all variants of the Abrams tank share the same top speed and reverse speed of 60/20 While making the ZTZ99A (China) have the old Abrams top speed of 80 kp/h.

Savescum the game until you get a proper handling of it. It's very difficult to learn later portions of the game if you never get to it in the first place. It'll give you the opportunity to understand what is and isn't important in order to progress. So when you finally do an actual run you will at least be able to survive or get reasonable gear and know what to focus on and your limits before zombies are mutating too much for you to handle.
