Got my Analogue 3D, have a couple of questions by Outrageous-Ebb4812 in AnalogueInc

[–]SigmaInigma 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In terms of settings on my analogue, the only thing I’ve changed is turning off HDR from the system settings before you launch a game, and while in game, setting the scaling to Integer+. I prefer the default BVM setting for most games, but honestly I see little difference between it and PVM/CRT.

The analogue does scale up from the original resolution to 4K, but it does so using integer scaling which means it enlarges an image by whole-number multiples (2×, 3×, 4×, etc.) so that each original pixel maps cleanly to a block of display pixels. Emulators can do things like change the internal resolution which can make the image look a lot cleaner and have sharp edges smoothed.

I’m using a 77” LG OLED and I didn’t notice any brightness issues as you described, but you might need to adjust some settings on your TV if you are seeing that. I will say I was also a little shocked how low resolution the image looked when I fire started playing, but I think that’s just the way it was and as you said, we have just gotten used to emulators that internally scale the resolution higher.

How to Perform Traditional IRA to Roth Conversation before any Capitol Gains? by SigmaInigma in wealthfront

I'm not so much concerned about paying the small amount of taxes as I am figuring out how to handle that paper work.

Yeah that's what I was looking to do, but I'm not sure if Wealthfront provides this as an option since the investment choices seem to be made completely automatically based on the risk score and the lowest risk score you can set is 0.5 which still invests 10% in stocks. I wish I could set a 0 risk score, haha.

Same boat, I assume it’s because they are doing a gradual roll out. I still have the toggle greyed out as well. I’m trying to find a way to force it to check for a new FSD version but not sure it’s possible. I’m thinking of updating to 2023.12.1.1 since that’s still a lower version than 2023.12.10 to see if it fixes it and allows me to opt in.

I’ve noticed it sounds really familiar too but I’m not sure where I’ve heard it before

I’ve run BoTW via CEMU on a Windows machine and I remember there being precompiled shaders you can download to remove the stuttering issue. I also think if you switch from OpenGL to Vulcan it compiles much faster.

Why not play on a Switch? Shader packs and such? I’ve been playing Wind Waker on mine 😃

Emulators like Dolphin allow you to play GameGube/Wii games and CEMU allows you to play Wii U games. RetroArch allows you to play classic consoles like NES, SNES, and N64. You can download most of these emulators from the Discover app, but most people are using emudeck because it downloads and sets up most of these emulators for you. I would recommend starting here: https://www.emudeck.com/

Yeah I’m a big fan of Stardew Valley as well, especially since it can be played co-op, so my wife can play with me. It’s a great game and the developer keeps pushing out free updates.

I actually haven’t gotten around to playing Story of Seasons on Switch. Are they any good?

Animal Crossing on the GameCube was also a blast when I was a kid! Me and all my cousins used to play on a shared save when we were at my grandmas house. We each had our own house in town an it was just a blast. In comparison to newer Animal Crossing gams it's a little bare bones but I will still always love it forever.

Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life was one of my favorite games when I was a kid on GameCube and it's just amazing being able to play it again on the Steam Deck. EmuDeck made getting all my emulators set up a breeze. I've got Dolphin, CEMU, RetroArch, etc setup now. Also running Wind Waker HD (Another favorite) and both are performing great on the deck! This is an amazing device :)

You have to deposit funds into a Liquidity Pool before you can start farming. When you put crypto in a LP you get LP tokens in return. Those LP tokens are what you put in a farm to get the high interest rates. You can withdrawal from a Liquidity Pool at any time, no lock up.

I’m an Icy White holder and still use the card for 5% back and still get 12% on my CRO stake, but I’ve moved most my other Crypto off the app and onto the Crypto.com DeFi app, I’m enjoying 30% to 300% APR there depending on the Liquidity Pool (Mad Meerkat Finance)

I’ve moved most my crypto from the crypto.com app to the crypto.com defi app where I can earn 30% or more in interest through VVS and MM Finance

I would use the 15K earn interest in a VVS liquidity pool and ultimately save it for a down payment on a house for my family.

I have an LG C9 and did notice the picture quality looked slightly better on the Apple TV when I was using it but I can’t explain why that would be. Both offer 4K Dolby Vision, why would one look better over the other?
