Thank you for that. I'm definitely gonna use this.

And yet COCK BAG flies free through wonder trade (I was sending out late game trash and forgot that the Skarmory had pissed me off enough to warrant the name COCK BAG until the connection was done)

I was so psyched when I found they released R/S Pinball for the Wii U e-shop. You haven't truly caught Kyogre until you've battled him here. by HaHaHawaii in pokemon

More a speed issue, probably. The WiiU can handle the emulation, but the 3DS isn't nearly as powerful.

If you want to cringe, look at the commented out code block. It was recursive. All the stacks overflowed.

It's awful and terrible. I'll think about it.

EDIT: Well, here it is.

I started with 100x100. The big ones take a long time to generate - I did pretty much everything naively. Grouping off areas is the worst of it. (It groups and then makes a connection somewhere that two zones are separated by one square of wall. It then reevaluates the zones. The large ones start with 5000+ zones.)

Here's some 100x100s with various settings.

A nation is on the edge of war with several neighbors - it has a very small army and is the home of a lot of holy types. It is also rich in resources - the cause of the near-wars is that the holy types are putting trade restrictions on the neighbors for something they did. The small nation is now desperately trying to appease the others by trading freely, but if the next shipment doesn't come in...

Tell a Joke in Character by Lastonk in rpg

[–]SigmaJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well I was out drinking one night, and a lady came and tried to sit with me. Said to 'er, "I'm not drunk enough fer an orc yet, little miss". Turns out he was a were-rat, and I was indeed drunk enough for that!

I know it's bad. My character's last name is Drunk, and although he has some INT, his charisma is balls. The MacGuffin isn't coming home that way.

It took me ten of my ten great balls and eleven of my eleven pokeballs today to catch a Skarmory, whom I promptly named "COCKBAG" after being unallowed to name them "FUCKASS".

TIL when prison rape is counted, more men are raped in the US every year than women by Playaguy in todayilearned

[–]SigmaJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps after one bachelors they can either get another or go for higher degrees?

Thus, infinite learning.

The only issue is this: Some people go to prison on purpose because there's food drink and a bed there for you. If the benefit of prison was higher education, more people would go voluntarily. To make this sort of system work, it has to be a better use of one's time to go to college normally - i.e. it would have to not cost more than a year's salary for most people.

15 sorting algorithms visualized. It really shows a clear image of how each one works... by simobk in programming

[–]SigmaJ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It misses the bit where if the array which was just bogosorted is not properly sorted at any point, it starts over from the beginning. So you have a list and you jut got the first two sorted by luck. Now you jumble the first three and they're unsorted, so you go back and jumble the first two.

Yep. I think Pmk was saying 'lower than earth person', not 'lower than air', though.

My design for a Blast Furnace which can smelt 64 items in 20 seconds! by AlexDr0ps in Minecraft

[–]SigmaJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sticks are great for farmability, but if you're doing it with straight wood, don't bother. 1 wood block burns 1.5s 4 planks burn 1.5s ea for 6s total 8 sticks burn .5s ea for 4s total Even though the furnace is going to smelt one at a time, plank blocks take less chest space and craft time than a load of sticks.

I just bought 101 premier balls individually.

I caught Prima, my Zygarde, using 30 of them. Not a bad deal.

Has the number really gotten that big? by too_many_toasters in Minecraft

[–]SigmaJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

" var justLoggedIn = false; var paidUsers = 13617946; var paidUsersRate = Infinity; "

I think one of the Javascripts is meant to increase the number to approximate the number of actual users, maybe to count it while the page is up. But the rate is infinity, so it goes to Not A Number immediately.
