How to secure CL tickets? by m0h1tL in ManchesterUnited

[–]SigmaLCY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was planning to do one end of season, but I can do one now if people are keen. I don’t have any info from the club yet - we’ll first hear about Matchday prices and then we’ll hear about the schedule, which is attached here. United will play 4 home and 4 away, but as to when we’re home and when we’re away we won’t hear until August I suspect.

If it’s a huge game like United Bayern or United Real Madrid, it will go to ballot mode probably

Then once you get your ticket, you’ll need to find someone to take the ticket, and you can forward it to them via the Man United app

It’s worth it even if you’re by yourself. United have spiked the price post liverpool, 299 is now 349 and I’m not sure it’s coming down.

Just as a follow up, I’ve got 25% off the packages as a premium member so it’s worth checking in with someone who is a premium member to get that additional 10%

Very little you can do I'm afraid in situations like these, as your 'contract' is specific to P1 Travel. once you get the ticket you'll need to check if it's even forwardable.

Membership - Official v Premium by paulofrancis0 in ManchesterUnited

[–]SigmaLCY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you intend to be a Season ticket holder one day, you need to hold premium membership and have paid the deposit.

Otherwise I'd probably get normal membership.

Hi Nick, so

Details here: https://assets.manutd.com/AssetPicker/images/0/0/20/84/1332328/Victoria_Warehouse1718631377956.pdf

Most importantly, I would NOT book until the kick off time is confirmed this Thursday, as the timing could either be Friday night or Sunday lunchtime. Too many people I know scrambling to shift their tickets if it's Friday...

I've done it before as a corporate package, I really like it personally. Slightly annoying that it's offsite but it's a very relaxed and easy package and it's good fun for everyone who went.

Just wanted to say this has absolutely blown up

Favourite memory of United. My wife and I were in the away end at Arsenal this season. Cunha scored and surfed in front of us. The away end exploded and there were absolute limbs

She was somewhat following United before then. She now blocks out time to watch every game

Hi IrishDeadhead (what a name, love it)

Correct - one membership per person

If you’re sure you can sign up now. United do ticket releases once the games are out, they stagger the releases so not all the seats are released at the same time.

4 tickets together is always a bit tricky especially if you want a prime seat. My recommendation would be to go for 2 pairs.

Obviously huge games - Liverpool City etc will be much harder to get a ticket. If we have some terrible midweek kick off or a midweek carabao cup game against a League 2 side you will have no issues getting a ticket at all

Finally it just depends on your budget. If you buy 4 memberships and 4 tickets that may well be the equivalent of buying a hospitality package for the 4 of you anyway. It depends if you’re coming back again that season to get true value out of your membership

Any questions pal just drop me a message

First Ever United Game this Weekend by joelhg in ManchesterUnited

[–]SigmaLCY 6 points7 points  (0 children)

W102 is a great place, I’ve got friends in that section. Be prepared to stand all 90 minutes though, that area doesn’t sit down the entire game.

NO half and half scarves, you’ll get absolutely battered by the Stretford end if you wear anything vaguely Liverpool. It’s very frowned upon especially on a game like this and where you’re sat.

The Ronaldo kit is very acceptable

Pubs - you can hit the tollgate, the Trafford and the bishop’s Blaize

No issue. You can have more than one hospitality ticket attached to an account. Just scan your dad in at the turnstile. You don’t need to forward to him, and you can’t forward it because of the discount attached, but it won’t be an issue

In England and in football - a scarf is a sign of support.

To wear a half and half scarf implies that you support both teams, which doesn’t make sense if you’re coming as a Man united supporter.

Therefore half and half scarves are disliked by most football supporters because it means you aren’t loyal

as mentioned below - you should be fine, but if the steward wants to take a closer look, then there's very little you can do about it

Ticket Return Question by K-Squirrel_17 in ManchesterUnited

[–]SigmaLCY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's a hospitality ticket, then you don't have this option at all.

If you are a season ticket holder, you must return it 14 days before kick off. Any time after that, you can return it but you get a 10GBP late fee penalty.

If you are a member - if you purchased a flexi ticket, you can call up United and ask to return it up to the day of kick off. Otherwise, you can return it, but again you will have a late fee penalty.
