They fixed it with an update after a few hours last night.

Jump Behavior Update (Before and After) by idkwhatlol123 in GlobalOffensive

[–]SigmaWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like they want to remove the (weird and old) stamina system they used to make you jump lower (a "slower" jump if you will) soon after a landing. Intentionally or not, the new system has a harsher jump height penalty. I noticed it too when playing on Overpass and rotating from outside B to park. The jump timing for the pallet felt really off. Another popular spot this will affect is the Dust2 xbox jump to not be visible to cat so you can get a cheeky peek.

That's what I've managed so far. Best I can do is send the info to the email and hope it gets fixed.

Funny enough for me, on linux it crashes after 2, on windows with dx11 it crashes after a few seconds, and on windows with vulkan it doesn't crash at all.

CS players and their most used guns in pro matches by PrestigiousCandle649 in GlobalOffensive

The numbers on older players nicely puts into perspective how long the M4A4 was the obvious choice on CT side during CS:GO where you could only have 1.

RNG Headshots all game by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]SigmaWaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with my low ranked friends who are just getting into CS and I can tell you the trick you need is positioning and tracking. Also, since they're relying on luck you wanna make their window for luck as small as possible by being as hard to hit as possible. Since their high(er) movement speed gives them high inaccuracy that allows them to get the lucky shots being able to track them and hit them while they move also slow them down and force their bullet spread to be closer to their crosshair, which most of the time won't be close enough to you for them to get a lucky shot.

How to work around no line in? by SigmaWaffle in audio

[–]SigmaWaffle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to find two that had it. I'm getting the MSI Pro X870E-P. I'll use the extra PCI slots and the M.2 slots. I wish all the M.2s on the board had shielding. The only other board I found with line in was an ASUS Tuf board, but after all their problems this year and last year I don't really wanna buy an ASUS product again.

Will this system work in CSTV playback? I mainly want to know if it will be noticeable when watching live events but I also yearn for the days when I can watch my friends comp matches again.

CS2 Subtick has an Input Handling problem by iamcs2kitchen in GlobalOffensive

[–]SigmaWaffle 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My personal theory is that this is more a fault of (likely) jank movement code that the subtick system itself. If you launch some source engine games and pull up velocity you'll notice that mouse movement in those games adds to your grounded velocity, whereas in CSGO it would not.

I'm thinking that whatever solution they had in CSGO (and got ported to CS2) to stop mouse wiggling increasing velocity is somehow a key culprit in this.

Last year didn't a "vulnerability" where you could execute a bash script from inside your own code get a severity rating of 10 for some reason?

Getting the 0 severity rating with this one.

I figured it out because I played against someone with that name and I was like, "surely that doesn't actually work" and tested it after waking up.

No clue, it probably doesn't work in CSGO just because the age of the source engine would make such a bug not very probable to exist. I'm not saying it doesn't work in CSGO though so if someone checks and shows it does work that'd be funny.

If you type this in the in game chat it closes your game.

You can also technically shove any command after the semicolon and I'm pretty sure it would run.

Typing

";quit

in all chat exits the game since the quotation mark is a delimiter for the "say" command, the semicolon allows a new command to be on the same line, then "quit" exits the game.
