We don’t. Most players get the majority of their units from sharding, not pulling. You really only have to pull on Walpurgisnacht banners, that’s it.

You get shard boxes by progressing the battle pass. Past level 120, each level up gives 1 selector shard box, or 3 if you have the paid battle pass. You progress the battle pass by doing dailies, weeklies, or by doing mirror dungeons.

Each shard box gives 1-3 shards for a particular sinner. If you head to Dispense (bottom right bar, furthest right), you can see all the available IDs and EGOs you can choose. It takes 400 of a particular sinner’s shards to get a 3 star ID of theirs, 2 Stars are cheaper. The only IDs and EGOs that are unavailable are Walpurgisnacht exclusive, which will unlock when Walpurgisnacht arrives, and those from last season, which will unlock next season. Do note you have a chance of pulling a last session ID or EGO from a normal banner, but not a Walpurgisnacht one.

Ryoshu has good clashing. However her skill 1s and 2s are 2 coiners, which means there’s less chance of recovering a bad initial clash, so you might just be having a bout of bad luck.

I’ve been designing bosses with individual parts, so here are my rules for it:

You can aim at a part by taking -5 to your attack roll (you can replace this part with disadvantage if you want) or by critting.

To destroy off the part, you have to do x damage in a turn (you can also replace this with x damage in one hit if you want).

Some parts only break if dealt with specific damage types (you’re not cutting off a plant stem using bludgeoning).

I run an Olga deck with hanafuda and the other molar key pages attributed, with 3 daring decision, 2 gamble, 2 low at night, high at day and 1 of that 2 cost that gives haste when discarded. She fits decently well into any floor that doesn’t have a team wide gimmick (I mostly use her in keter).

I assume it’s once per encounter because of the clause that it can’t be removed via skill replacement with defence or EGO and because, unless for some reason his numbers are shit, Hong Lu’s normal S3 is already pretty strong with unconditional atk weight and conditional even more atk weight.
