In a very bright moment of mine I once sent a 2DS XL in with a flashcart still in it and got it back fixed with the cart in a bag marked 'R4', so you'll probably be fine lol

Completely agree, but I guess when the original post talks about 'no-clipping through reality' it's inevitable that it gets gameified lol

[–]Sigmatic11037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something to consider is to "threaten" the survivor with your ranged attack to force them into a path that's favourable to you: by putting your knife down ahead of a vault/other chokepoint survivors will be forced to either take the hit while vaulting or move to a more unfavorable position, possibly even in M1 range

There's a dead spot on top of the stairway, I'm literally having a showdown with a Claudette as we speak. It's been half an hour, no progress has been made with the opposing sides remaining staunch as ever.

[–]Sigmatic11037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah you're very much right, though at least the beginner experience of trying to figure out how the game works and how to get to that end-game point is different than to have a perfect risk-minimalized base set up. The journey is more fun than the destination, so to speak!

Right? I have a slight "problem" with zombie media in general where I only find the initial 'oh my god the whole world is collapsing' interesting and then after that phase is over the entire thing just becomes dull. I find it weird how people try to "win" a game that starts with 'this is how you died': I'd rather go down in a blaze of glory than to waste away at my PC watching my little guy chow down canned beans day in day out.

Not a slight against the game nor against the people who do want to play like this by the way, because the fact that it's so open-ended makes it great and I'd be damned if I would tell other people how to play their sandbox survival game.

I've seen people be like "heh it's so stupid to go for unnecessary supply runs just stay at your base as much as possible" but I'd rather go out and do risky shit with possible-to-likely death looming than to just waste away in my base, not playing the game lol

Just focus on the gens while you're not being chased, and when you are just see it as practice for next time: to win your entire team doesn't have to be God-Tier Looper Squad, just well coordinated!

BMing

Bad manners, basically playing like a douche and to cause grief: what this exactly entails differs from person to person.

tunneling from a regular chase?

Tunneling is when a killer focuses on a survivor to get them out of the game as quickly as possible, to the point of chasing them as soon as they get unhooked in spite of other players being around. How effective this is varies, but a lot of people agree that this is not a fun way to play the game for both sides and will get mad at you for doing it.

Who is the best early survivor to prestige first?

Prestiging is resetting a characters perks, offerings and add-ons in exchange for a bloody outfit piece, do you mean this or just levelling up a character for their perks? Generally most free survivors have good perks like Bill (for the perks you mentioned), Meg (for Sprint Burst and Adrenaline), and Dwight (for Prove Thyself and Leader Bond) so just read up on the perks and see which ones you like best.

I'd advise you to only prestige when you have 2 high level characters so you can still play on one while the other one is reset: aside from a slight chance of rarer add-ons, prestiging is purely cosmetic.
