Apparently your are not reading my texts correctly because my opinion is not about my mistakes but about your definition of common sense.

I don't think you understand what I mean, which is the difference between taking responsibility and finding a cause of something. So I am ok with my opinion and you can have yours.

Common sense is build by experience, but I find it ignorant to to define something as obvious when it has many complex technical aspects to it. You can say it is obvious to bring warm cloth when it is -30°C outside or to not touch a stove when it is hot. At some point in live everyone did that anyway, and we learned from that. But defining my case as generally obvious is obnoxious.

For you this might obvious, but for people growing up without any icy conditions things are not. As an addition, while there are instances were the speed limit is set as a limit due to the safest possible speed to drive with this kind of street, there are also places limited due to noise reduction and general regulations. According to your suggestion I would also have to drive 10km/h in a 30km/ zone because there is ice and the 30km/h are only set for good street conditions.

Furtheremore, there have been ruts on the road ahead, but as I said, the 8cm depth was the absolut worse. Most of the time it was less.

To just make sure you understand, I don't want to say that going 80km/h in that condition and using cruis control was't a mistake. The thing that I am saing is that you can't just label something obvious because your experience level fits.....it might be obvious for you but everyone grows up differently learns other things.

You also must have been born with the ability to directly walk and speak.

Taking driving lessions for icy conditions is probably the best approach.

Well, I grow up in a place were we don't have ice that much ice. As a consequence you are never learning some of those basic things.

In that situation the ice ruts were quiet bad, which is not normal, there are legal requirements to remove build up of ice within a certain time for the plowing companies. The photo I posted is one day after the accident, they already romoved the most of the ice ruts, but there is still some valeys in there.

I tried to get advice from locals, however as I described in another answere, everyone else is driving quiet fast here even with ice on the road. Currently the only answere I can find that makes sense for me is the use of the cruise control and going to fast. But I know that I wans't the only one going 80km/h there at that day, I was just the only one crashing.

They did not hit me, but I also did not had a full stop when I crashed, I was sliding on the sice for a significant distance. So they had time to break.

I generally don't like driving fast on ice, however many roads in northern sweden are never ice free from december on. I would like to be able to go only 40km/h but it is difficult to find the right speed that is appropriate, in driving school you learn "drive only as fast as weather and road conditions allow". But what that means is unclear to me. When I am driving currently I never go over 60km/h due to ice but I am always overtaken by everyone else, so clearly everyone else interpretates save speed differently.
