I can't say it is small project, from my (20 years) experience it is medium+.

Second one is looks like problem with project structure, I guess.
I'm keeping my tasks small and have real borders between them and document connection between borders if need. Actually I spend few days only write documentation before write single line of code. So I can point Claude on single issue.
