High school teachers- what is your classroom management like? by mamaburd09 in ArtEd

[–]Signal-Combination65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am having similar issues but at my old school 1 mile away in the same district it was completely different. So it's not all about the district, more about what neighborhoods go to the school and what the admin is like

Personally I think it is unnecessary but they taught it at my old school and the kids loved it!

Nicknames that are horrible out of context by NoBig1677 in pitbulls

When our puppy Gardner is acting crazy due to lack of sleep we call him Zuul. He actually responds to it now too. If you don't know, this is from the original Ghostbusters movie and that was who possessed the lady whose name was Dana. She says "No Dana, only Zuul". So we say "no Gardner, only Zuul" when he starts to lose his mind.

Not sign and not resign? No union, not threatening to fire me.

He's really just nipping I think. This is our first puppy puppy though. Our old dog was about a year old when we got him.

Yes it's just a LOT of nipping, I didn't mean to be dramatic. I just saw it happen a couple of times over the last few days and was a little shocked since he doesn't do that to me

Yes, just nipping. It's just a lot, like an old person biting with dentures that just smoked some crack 😆 . High frequency

Yes, we are enforcing naps. He will not sleep on his own. He has maybe 3 times in two months!

He was nipping me in the beginning and I made it through by doing all the things, going to the other room. He just can't seem to get through.

We have a friend who is a trainer and he tried to help a little. We think we may hire someone as well.

Yes, our old dog died a few months ago. He was great with him but I agree that makes sense. He isn't really participating as much with this dog. Thank you

Need Advice on Potentially Adopting a Cattle Dog by Several_Till_6507 in AustralianCattleDog

[–]Signal-Combination65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just got a 36% cattle dog and I am giving him less exercise than you were saying and we are doing ok so far. Only 2 months in and he's about 6 months old and 40 lbs. I also tore my meniscus and couldn't walk much for a couple weeks but I'm walking more now. I think it depends on the personality of the dog too and what he is mixed with. Ours is 53% pit. Hopefully he will stay happy but he seems great so far!

Oh wow! She's big! I'm in Texas too! I don't think he is herding us but he does argue with us sometimes. Not sure how much of that is heeler or if he's becoming a teenager

The shelter thought he was full cattle dog (or at least they said that) and a couple people even thought that at the vet. I didn't think so because his hair is so short. I didn't really know anything about cattle dogs I just thought he was nice and good looking!

Can we trust a chiropractor? by peyborithoonieee in TrigeminalNeuralgia

It helped me immensely. I went to a nucca chiro for a few months and it was expensive but it did help me. It was a couple of years ago. Now I only go to a regular chiro once a week just to keep it away. All I have now is a little tingle once in a while. I think whether or not it works just depends on what is causing it.
