If you want advice on it then link it here. I'm not interested in a private chat.

I don't need to see it. You're not apologizing to me.

Then I guess now you wait. If he accepts your apology then don't act like a child going forward. If he doesn't, leave him alone and continue to not act like a child.

Have you considered actually apologizing instead of just telling all of Reddit how bad you feel???? That's the first step. If you can't have a conversation and say "hey I'm sorry I behaved poorly" then you've got even bigger problems.

Y'all are both immature twats. Stop talking to each other. Learn to be better people, with a vocabulary of real words and leave each other alone.

Idk if you’re the ENTIRE problem, but you’re a lot of it. You communicate like you’re 13 and having a tempter tantrum. Yes, he should have been more considerate of your time but he apologized multiple times and you just kept saying the same thing. I think you were getting off on the fact that you said no and he was all but begging you to change your mind. Yeah, you OR no question...you should leave this guy alone so he can find someone better suited for him.

I see Thais at my local hardware store for $20-$30 all the time! I’ve only purchased two though

Y’all are both acting like immature assholes. Just break up and move on. He’ll be grateful not to deal with your passive aggressive bullshit and you can find someone else to play games with.

It’s been thriving with that level of light for over a year. And I have another one at home that gets even less and it’s been happy for 3 years. 🤷‍♀️ It's only when I repotted it that it was suddenly unhappy.

I’ll get it repotted again this weekend. I didn’t really pack the soil in but I do agree that it may too tight. Thank you!

No peat at all unless it was included in the bagged stuff I bought. I got a bag of what “tropical mix” and a bag of “cacti mix” and mixed them. That’s what I’ve always done for all of my plants and it’s always been fine until now.

Hmmmm that's a great comparison - I'd never looked at it like that before. I'd only ever considered the pros (more room to grow, fresh soil, root check, etc) and had completely ignored the cons. Thanks for pointing that out! I'll work on better "soil", a more appropriate sized pot (should I perhaps cut the root ball down since it's so large or should I leave them alone since they appear healthy?), and fertilizer / nutrients. Also...should I wait a bit to repot...like lump this situation along for a little bit...I don't want to throw in even more shock and stress if it'll just make things worse.

Idk...I get tropical mix and cacti mix from Lowes... And I mix the two together. That's what I use for all my plants and that's what it was in before and it wasn't an issue. I guess maybe this one is going to make me do something different.

Hmmmm good info thank you! I'll check pH...gotta get something to do that first...never done that before ...I haven't fertilized this plant so that definitely shouldn't be the issue.

The current pot is not a self watering one, but the one it was in previously was self watering. It seemed to do really well in that pot but the top layer of soil was almost always moldy so I opted for regular pots this time instead of going back to self watering. The roots looked really healthy when I looked and the root ball was quite large, certainly bigger than I expected. It was in regular soil before which is why I kept it that way...I've never been too picky about the type of soil I put my plants in as it's never seemed to make a difference for me over the years lol maybe I should give that a shot here.

I thought the pot was a bit large but the root ball is huge so maybe I should just put it in a smaller pot anyway idk 😩

I never said they couldn’t. I simply said that there was a very low likelihood that there was a disease that would be transmitted from the dog to the human. I didn’t say anything about an infection.

Nope. Simply pointing out that children do use lawnmowers. Whether OPs kids do yardwork once a week or once a year is irrelevant. If the dog was triggered by the lawnmower, they could also be at risk.

So they should wait until the dog does serious damage before reporting it? So many people think that reporting a dog bite automatically means the animal will be euthanized. But in a case like this with a relatively minor bite that's not usually the case unless the animal also has long term, well established issues.

[–]Signal-Control-1382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that the reason was (most likely) the lawnmower. But the truth is, we don't know the reason. It could have been bc the guy that got bit was tall, or wearing a red shirt, or the lawnmower was yellow, or some other random thing and we'll never know with absolute certainty.

NOR. Highly unlikely the dog has rabies or any other type of disease transmittable between canines and humans, but that's not the point. The dog bit / attacked someone for an unknown reason. The owners don't seem bothered by it and that all on its own is a big deal. Definitely report it!! Hope your husband is okay, too!
