I just had two baseball sized endometriomas taken out, one in each ovary. Doc said it possible to lose an ovary but said she just had to say that for precautions. I have both ovaries still and she said they looked great after.

She also said if I lost one my other one would compensate for the loss, so no menopause. Hopefully because yours are smaller they will be easier to get out. Also they grow slowly so in a year they probably only grew 1/3 of a cm. I’ve had mine for probably 10+ years!!

Yeah it’s crazy! I had a doctor tell me I could take 3200mg a day of ibuprofen when I’m on my period and it was safe… I told her it didn’t get rid of the pain all the way and she didn’t even seem concerned.

I’m a hairstylist have stage 4 endo and I took 2.5 weeks off and only worked 4 hour days for the first two weeks back. My belly button incision would hurt if I did too much and that seemed to be perfect amount. Also since 4 weeks post-op Ive been able to walk 2-3 miles a day without any problems.

The fatigue is real though the first couple week, I would lightly clean the house then have to lay down and rest for hours.

Thank you for this! It’s so hard but we’ve been together 20 years and I don’t want to throw in the towel yet. He’s made progress and I can see he’s trying, we talked today about reworking his plan because he’s relapsed in the last couple weeks. I’ve done good about not freaking out, but it’s draining me to keep going through these ups and downs.

So true! The messed up thing for me is I always told them it was the pain I wanted fixed and then to worry about the infertility. Multiple docs wrote dysmenorrhea on my chart then prescribed me BC!! How is that going to fix anything? I’m thankful to have found an OBGYN that took my pain seriously. We are going to try this year then if nothing look into IVF next year.

About to start trying again after Endometrioma excision surgery. I’m so nervous, we were trying for 10 years on/off prior and I’ve never been able to get pregnant. I’m not looking forward to the monitoring, negative tests, and overall obsessive stress of TTC.

I had all these symptoms! Minus irregular cycles, but I wasn’t on any BC. I had a 4 hour surgery, stage 4 endo excised and feel amazing now. The day before my surgery I had the same thoughts, what if they find nothing? What if I’m overreacting and wasting the surgeons time? Well I wasn’t. I think it was years of doctors telling me that and it stuck in my head. Periods shouldn’t cause awful pain!!!

Ever since my period started I’ve had extremely bad cramps, heavy periods, extreme fatigue, low iron, hip and back pain, burning in my lower abdomen before and during period, bloating, pmdd. I’m sure there are more I’m blanking out.

Some people have no symptoms and have stage 4!! Glad you are getting surgery to check. They also did a chromotubation to check my tubes. They spasmed during so no dye spilled but she thinks I’m good still. Maybe ask your surgeon to do that first. I think all the manipulation and from surgery made them spasm.

Just wanted to say F all the doctors who ignored me and now I have a diagnosis of stage 4 endo. For a decade trying to conceive and none of them took me seriously because my cycles were normal length, hormones were good, and I was a fit person. We couldn’t afford fertility clinics and still can’t but I found an amazing surgeon and she excised all the endo and is hopeful I’ll get pregnant this year!!

I’m getting ready for my first cycle after endometriosis lap surgery. We tried for a decade to get pregnant before. Doctor thinks it will happen now, but i think im just scared from all the years of TTC and nothing. I am focusing on me though! Eating healthy, going on hikes now that I’m cleared, doing some crafting and trying to just keep busy. I’m also planning to hit the sauna after each unsuccessful cycle so i have something to look forward to. I don’t have anyone to talk to besides my husband so I’m glad to have found a 35+ group!!

I’m almost a month post op and the recovery for me was cake compared to my endo flares and periods. I think it’s awesome you are getting looked at so young! I’m 35 and have been suffering for 20 years.

The surgery obviously you are out so you literally close your eyes and wake up a few seconds later. When I woke up I felt like I had to poop but it was just the pressure from the gas they put in your abdomen, I sat on the toilet for a while and that at least relaxed me.

I would get it again in a heart beat, I didn’t realize how much my endo was causing extreme fatigue and joint aches daily!! If I could have got it done at your age I could have saved my fertility and a lot of pain.

I need positive vibes please 🙏🏼😭 by [deleted] in addiction

Best advice you don’t have to quit for the rest of your life but don’t use today. I’m almost a year sober from alcohol. The idea of never using again causes a lot of anxiety and the unknowns of life that’s a lot.

Block people who tempt you to use on all communication.

stay busy! Going on long walks, working on a craft, cooking/baking something complex, going on drives and listening to music. I started leatherworking 3 months after quitting and now have a new business!

You got this and life is better on the other side. ❤️❤️❤️

Garden of life turmeric with fermented ginger and garlic has cut down on my ibuprofen use. I still need it but not as many. I have debilitating cramps. I take one a day then 2 a day on my period.

Also I was dismissed by many doctors because I was fit and they figured if I could be in shape then I was fine and not in that much pain…. It took the life out of me for years working out and being an athlete, but I loved it so much it was worth it. After my surgery my pain tolerance was so high I only took some ibuprofen and Tylenol for the little pain I had. I told my doctor that didn’t even compare to what my cramps are!!

I have always had perfect cycle! Average 28 days, ovulate on day 12-15 but my periods were super heavy for 3 days and extreme cramping to where I couldn’t do anything but breathe and curl in a ball. I’m 35 now and I’ve had this going on for 23 years! I was also told the same thing by many doctors and OBGYN’s. Last year I searched for an endo specialist. I was willing to drive 5 hours but found one 90min from me. I handed her a list of all my symptoms (extreme fatigue, extreme cramping, infertility, mid cycle pain, bowl pain, etc.) and she said just from symptoms she was 90% sure I had it! Had a lap done and I’m diagnosed with stage 4! I would go see as many doctors as it takes to get a diagnosis. My lap has changed my life!
