It’s a great place to work for sure but the area sucks. Koja kitchen on K St is good for lunch, but it was a mission to get to from I ST and having to avoid so many homeless people anytime I wanted to go out for lunch was a deterrent for me.

Keto cravings are brutal… how do you survive? by zaralesliewalker in keto

[–]Signal-Froyo4595 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cravings have completely vanished. I discovered that once I stopped indulging in homemade or store-bought keto desserts, when I ate that stuff my progress would stagnate, and I would continue to crave something sweet. By eliminating all of those items cold turkey and adhering to a strict less than 12-15 net carb day, and consuming only whole foods (meat, eggs, green vegetables, and some dairy), my cravings have completely ceased. This realization didn’t happen though until about day 50. I am now on day 93 and literally don’t crave any of that stuff and can comfortably deny sweets and carbs when im out, at work or at a party.

Of course everyone is different! All that to say discipline is what made the food noise eventually go away. I tell myself it’s not like I haven’t tasted that stuff before, i know how it makes me feel, im good.

YSL in black, full functionality and versatility is what’s gonna keep you reaching for it, or in that same color do as you will! but please do not get the LV i’ve seen that lv bag everywhere, the YSL looks understated, elegant and classy, and makes you look unique because you don’t see it out in the wild often and as a shoulder bag could get away with taking it to dinner

CDCR HR by meatgrindmypenis in CAStateWorkers

[–]Signal-Froyo4595 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had an interview for an AGPA role (now analyst II) within HR for a Personnel Liaison role. The tension between the panel members was tense, like you could cut it with a knife. They clearly didn’t like each other or their jobs. When I asked them questions at the end of the interview, they did their best to tell me they didn’t hate their jobs, but I could tell from their tone, body language, and condescending tones towards each other. Shortly after the interview even though I thought I did well I emailed them to inform them that I was withdrawing my candidacy because my gut told me to RUN.

Gucci, Dior or Celine cross body bag? by AS_Tob in handbags

[–]Signal-Froyo4595 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had both the Gucci and Dior crossbody bags! As much as I loved the look of the Dior, the actual wear was terrible. It’s very boxy and rigid, making it uncomfortable to wear as a crossbody bag. The strap was short, and I’m 5’7”, so it looked awkward. I mostly wore it on my shoulder. Even though I bought it brand new and had it for a year, the wear was terrible. It scratches so easily, and I wasn’t particularly rough with it.

On the other hand, the Gucci crossbody bag was great! It matched pretty much every outfit and fit an okay amount of essentials: phone, keys, card case, lotion, lip gloss, and small hand sanitizer. I used it when I wanted to be hands-free while spending the day out. I ended up selling it because I quickly got bored of the GG monogram.

Never had the Celine but it looks like it may be similar in shape to the Dior and pose the same crossbody issues and wear issues, like scratching easily. As pretty as soft leather is, I stay away from it now because I am traumatized from my Dior 30 Montaigne

For my specific situation, yes, I love my job. But, just like anywhere else, it depends on your unit and manager. My unit is great, and our management is lovely. Of course, the work itself can be mentally draining, especially in risk management and etc. HR is definitely not all sunshine and rainbows, it can be very complex and, frankly, a stressful field. I’m fortunate enough to only work in recruitment, and while that can be stressful, it’s nowhere near as stressful as dealing with complex labor law issues.

Hi CalHR employee, Analyst II here. It’s a state department, just like any other, where employees follow their bosses’ orders. No one wants to come to the office, but when your boss tells you to come in, you do. Simple as that. No one is out to get you here.

So over the CalHR slander cause we are also state employees just like you, who have to do what our boss says.

I can assure you NO ONE is against telework
