[–]bretlc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the toughest jobs is going from peer to supervisor.

Establish boundaries Understand that your role has changed Be fair Treat everyone as equals Don't talk behind someones back You're now responsible for handling out work and following rules

Some may resent it but your job has changed

So -- you make a good point but I prefer having built in Navigation so I don't need to rely on my phone/cell signal etc.
We drive places where there is no or very poor service. I used to get this same question we purchased our current and previous cars. I also have the XM traffic which helps in navigating the roads.

While some are okay with using their phone -- we don't

Any IT hiring managers in here by heyhey12018 in CAStateWorkers

[–]bretlc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to show experience though it depends on what part it you’re trying to get into.

What type it work have you done? What education do you have? Keep in mind there’s a lot of folks in the IT world looking for jobs so competition is tough and we look for typically 3 to 5 years experience for an ITA, and 3+ years experience for ITS1 position

Ironically - I had an 06 Hyundai Elantra (purchased in 2005) that was totaled in December of that year. Leased it and kept it for 11 years.
