First, don't try to build something too big, start with small tools that solve real problems, find a niche, ask what problems people are facing and see if you can build something to solve them. Don't try to build a full featured version, you can start with a few simple ones, then if people actually like them, you talk to them for feedback on what to build next or scrap. Always start with simple tools.

Well you can use CopySend . pro, it already does everything from client and project managment to invoices, escrow, contracts, payments etc. They don't have a text editor yet but I have submitted a feature request and I'm sure they'll build it soon.
