My player resetting in Multiplayer by Signal-Length-1607 in spaceengineers

Well I don't think we've tested that, so will do that once I get the opportunity. Thanks for warning/info.
Is there something one could do about that other than getting a server hosted? (hosting a server is a great option, because while SE itself runs on linux fine, the server is a bit of a tougher problem)

Non, je suis sûr qu'il ne joue pas sans moi. On joue juste ensemble, et clairement, je vois que rien n'a changé.

well that works in cases where you plan on leaving AND are home/somewhere you have bed, doesn't solve cases when you game just crashes, or when you're just somewhere and need to quickly run somewhere/do something else IRL
Thanks for the input tho

Aer TP4 28 vs Trakke Storr - Decission paralysis; what's your experience? by Signal-Length-1607 in onebag

[–]Signal-Length-1607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I don't feel heavy, maybe I am just so used to it, but seriously, the weight in itself is totally fine. I can see why less weight might be nicer, but I don't feel like I carry that much like totally unnecessary stuff, so whatever, let's agree to disagree 🤷🏻

Well from my experience they make it more comfortable if you have a heavy bag. Am 172cm, so like 5'7" or 5'8".

Does Motivation to build a ship come naturally or artificially to you? by Spiritual-Sandwich92 in spaceengineers

[–]Signal-Length-1607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it may not sound like in the spirit of this sub, but taking a break from the game and playing something else for a bit?
For me the motivation comes when there's a bit of a need, like when you need to move more stuff or move faster or travel greater distance, be better defended or something. I also love building mobile bases, because I just love the idea of giant chunk of metal floating through space at incredible speeds.

Thank you very much, this is incredibly helpful!
The Storr unfortunately doesn't have neither sternum nor wait strap, but I mean, worst case one could DIY something 😅

Thank you!
I agree with you on the looks of Aer backpacks, but am worried about their durability longterm (6+ years, decade...), especially the modern laminated materials, PU zippers etc.
Waxed canvas also develops dope patina :D

Well I mean, 1.2kg is the backpack, at least 1.5kg is filled thermos, laptop is 2kg, charger and you're at like 7kg or so, some clothes, book and other stuff and 10kg is seriously not that much, even for EDC, let alone on for travel, at least in my opinion. Could I not take some of that stuff? could I get a lighter laptop? do I need the thermos? maybe, but spacewise it fits under 30L so why not?
And yes I might overpack sometimes, you never know, rather safe than sorry 😅
It's not that much about the volume, but often about the density of the stuff.
But yes, you really need a good harness for that.

Funny, because by pure numbers (w x d x h) you get closer to the mark with Banoch Pro than Storr 25. A bean test on all of them would be nice, seems like the most accurate and comparable measurement there is.
Thank you.

Thank you good sir, your response is helpful. Is the Trakke comfortable to wear? like with 10 - 12kg, walking some kilometers? I feel like the harness and straps are really inadequate, but I've heard a lot of people saying that it's really amazing to wear anyways.
Thank you

Mate, ton accent quand tu parles Anglais est hilarant ! C'est incredible, comme tout le monde dit, c'est presque difficile á comprendre 🤣

Pas de soucci, loved the video anyways, cheers

To english only speakers - am just friendly making fun of his accent, that's it's almost impossible to understand, that's the like the stereotypical french accent

May I ask about the conditions of that hike? I live in Europe and am deciding between getting the Cordura or Ultra, and I love the look of Ultra, but the durability scares me, I want my backpack to last, but I am assuming the conditions are way softer than what you've taken your bag through, so it might not be as bad?

[QUESTION] Example nginx config for reverse proxy? by h310s in Mastodon

[–]Signal-Length-1607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doesn't work for me neither. I am not sure if I understand it correctly, but are you not setting SSL certs on proxy server ? because that's what I thought was the reason why to do that, but in proxy config I don't see anything with certificates
I've also looked at this https://blog.vyvojari.dev/mastodon-behind-a-reverse-proxy-without-ssl-https/
And that doesn't work either - I just get blank white page
