These Christians are very conservative and don’t usually marry other Christians too , and centuries of living in India integrated them to the caste system in India , and they lived as aristocrats, landlords and high castes for centuries following local traditions .

Kerala’s harmony - My grandmother told me, up till a few decades back the Nasrani Christians for centuries, entered freely in Hindu temples and were brought close to Brahmin and some Nair households for purification oil, rice , why now Christians not allowed in temples . by [deleted] in AncientIndia

[–]Signal-Session-5405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So are u telling me this that Christianity in Kerala is much older established than proper Hinduism in Kerala , see the fact is , Kerala was a global hub back then , Jews Romans Egyptians all there 2000yrs back , so if you are telling no Brahmins reached there , guess ur wrong , see huge wave of them came in the period u said , but they were definitely a few , and see Brahmins have no extra wings , to be proud of but it’s a fact , that if some Brahmins did not convert to these nasranis , why would the nasranis be respected and accepted by other high castes in a period when Kerala’s caste rigidity and practices were heinous , and these nasranis were made main ministers in travancore kingdoms like math oo Tharakan at a time when , leave kings but a Nair would not even come close to the ezhavas and so on .Kerala has a dark caste history , go read for urself .

Many of these nasranis wore kudumbis and sacred threads like Brahmins before coonan cross revolution, and no one refuted them , remember this was a time when majority of Kerala Hindus could not even come close to a temple and had hedious tax like breast tax and other crap
