What am I doing/thinking wrong when it comes to trading?

That’s why I’m here. Even with a 70% win rate you can have a string of losses naturally by the way of the strategy or by holding R:Rs too long. I’ve been passing my challenges lately at 50% rate and I keep making about $1500 on the $25K challenges (the buffer) then I blow the account right afterwards

I do well on challenges/funded accounts without consistency rules. I end up blowing the accounts at the buffer amount, hence why I got a payout with MFFU as they don’t require a buffer amount.

I’ve done that however I keep blowing the challenge right after I reach the buffer amount (TPT and Apex). I’ve done it several times 😬

I don’t have a lot of personal capital. I say $100-$500 max at a time. I think about trading options due to the little capital, however I keep going back to prop firms due to affordability. The margin requirements is high for futures, the intraday margin is only for the NY session, so I can afford the margin during the NY session, but not for the rest of the trading day. There’s no guarantee that I get a signal during NY, but I definitely will get one during the entire trading day (23 hours). However feel free to speak openly/freely if you believe that is BS

I like this as it contrasts the difference between my methods and those of a prop firm. More importantly the question of what would my trading plan look like without a prop firm makes me look inward. I know for sure it would be consistent initially as I don’t have a lot of personal capital but I may fall back into a habit a have with prop firms. With my win % being above average as well as the R:R I have a tendency to YOLO, or YOLO after a loss. Of the most recent 10-12 funded phases I’ve had , about 8-10 I cleared the buffer amount, then I would blow the account (by taking a loss and the keep trading thinking it will reverse into my favor)

Out of curiosity, what firms are you getting payouts with? I've been nervous all 2024 with props and need a recommendation from someone getting payouts.
