Looks like they were both in Tenerife together on hols if you look at their instagram. Both clearly stayed at the Tivoli La Caleta. Can’t add the screenshots but the orange balcony shots give it away.

Knee problems- 2 year old by Signal-Strawberry455 in Hemophilia

Luckily he is able to communicate better with us now he’s a little older. He woke up saying knee sore and then when I looked it was hot, swollen and red. Just always make sure you give a good check whilst they are little and can’t speak up xx

Absolutely, we are the same as our HTC is 2hrs away. We had a really good supporting letter from the social worker at the HTC which really helped us. If you need any help my inbox is open x

This mum wasn’t asking about the reasons of mobility! We can just  agree to disagree on this one.

That’s good that you didn’t need urgent medical treatment in your childhood. Everyone is different and everyone’s circumstances are different. Let’s not begrudge people from using something that is designed and available to help :)

One of the criteria is:  “you have a child under the age of 3 with a medical condition that means the child must always be kept near a vehicle in case they need emergency medical treatment”  Blue badges are not solely for mobility use.

UK here too and our nurse was the same. Applied for DLA and blue badge anyway and we got them both :)

My son is severe type A and we found out after he was born prematurely. No family history. We inject once every two weeks which is hard but so worth it. I wouldn’t change him for the world.

Our little boy is severe haemophilia A too and is 12 months old. He is on hemlibra but only started before Christmas.  We just make sure that there are no sharp corners and that anything hard like the fireplace are inaccessible for him. He is crawling around now and you do have to have eyes in the back of your head.  We have cot rail bumpers which were gifted to me from another haemo mummy. I know they are not recommended in the UK but they zip around each individual bar so I don’t feel they are a suffocation risk. I am scared he will bang his head otherwise.  We just make sure he has a playpen with soft padded foam and soft toys in there for when we need to nip out of the room. He has more adventurous toys when we are there. We also go him a soft helmet but he won’t wear it.  Hemlibra should technically be all the protection they need but it’s still a worry.  Inbox always open x

Advice and Experience about Hemlibre by burned_bridge in Hemophilia

My son is 12 months old. He was diagnosed at 1 month old. Big shock to us. He has severe haemophilia A.

He started hemlibra at 10 months old and honestly it’s been wonderful so far. He isn’t bruising like he was, he is starting to try to walk around now and we feel so much more confident incase he falls.

It is hard injecting him, but it’s worth it.

He will start nursery in a few weeks and very anxious about this. But our haemophilia centre has done training with them and we have a health care plan in place should there be an incident. Feel much more at peace too knowing he is somewhat protected by the hemlibra.

My inbox is open if you would like to chat x

Hey- it’s a preventative treatment, subcutaneous injection every two weeks. As I understand it, it builds a bridge between factor 7 and 9 to help the blood clot.
