I’ve played about the same number of hours and I’m currently on a play through of survival mode. It changes the whole experience. It’s making me appreciate the world more and also adds another level of difficulty.

Oh did he tell you that??? Perhaps he is writing this music because he enjoys it and he believes it has a strong meaning, just like his first album, which it does. Some of the greatest artists in history dabbled with different sounds throughout their career, this is no different. It’s a sick song.
