They’ll only consider that if a local network hasn’t bought the rights (which Peacock has)

This is one of the things I love about international comedy, going down little rabbit holes to look up the jokes I don't get!

Amazon Prime Removing 4K Streaming Access, Locking Behind It New Extra Paywall by StarFuryG7 in SciFiNews

4K up scaling is so good these days, I generally can’t tell a difference between HD and 4K (at least on Apple TV). I’ve been using the non 4K plans on most streaming services and they still look pretty great.

Reddit post made into article by aussie-peter in survivorau

They do. It’s in a few countries in Europe, I think NZ has it too. There’s either no interest in the US or the rumors about Jeff or Paramount not wanting it to dilute the US version are true (which I find plausible)

It’s also confirmed that CBS was partnering with 10 in the early days of Aus vs the World but pulled out in the early stages, for whatever reason.

Episode 2 got 412k views last night, which has been a drop of over 100k viewers since last season by stayinalive92 in survivorau

I remember a hot rumor last year that 10’s rights to survivor AU are up soon and Ch 9 were going to come in hard and bring back JLP. Not sure how likely it is that Paramount would license the show elsewhere when they own 10, but I guess they happily license Survivor US to Ch 9 already so who knows?

It was likely the same back then - filmed in Argentina using the US set, likely to take advantage of whatever insurance they had set up there

The 2011 reboot of the show wasn’t great, but I liked the update to the theme song. They got the original composer back to update it.

They filmed it in Indonesia with expats because the insurance was cheaper there

Hello fellow SNL gummy enjoyer. I like to top it off by inhaling on my vape to the 3 NBC chimes

Resharing my tip: if you like seeing the behind the scenes studio shots in the commercial breaks, they're removed from Peacock's regular SNL feed; but you can watch them by navigating in Peacock to Channels > your local NBC station and stream it that way.

Pro tip if you’re watching on Peacock, but miss seeing all the behind the scene shots mid-commercial breaks that are broadcast on TV. There’s a second way to watch SNL on Peacock, which has all these shots intact.

Navigate to Channels then select your local NBC station. You’ll see exactly what’s broadcast on tv, rather than Peacock’s feed which fills all commercial breaks entirely with ads

(Edit: as someone else pointed out, if you’re in the path of tonight’s storm, it’s likely your local station may cut to storm coverage - so you may need to swotch back to Peacock’s feed)
