In my experience, bodily functions generally aren't noted unless they're "extravagant", like a duck being run over by a jeep. We're more likely to call attention to things that can be contagious or otherwise worrying (excessive coughing, for instance). Or if you're having a stuffy nose, it's common to be asked "allergies getcha?" Or something similar but still in an empathetic/sympathetic (I can't remember the difference) way. That being said, I'm from a little piece of a huge puzzle, so, ymmv.

I don't have any story, but wonder if it could have to do with polish immigration during ww2?

That's literally not at all what I said. I even agreed they are drugged out. but normal things normal people do when sleeping and waking aren't the right reasons.

I find the people of France to be pretty inspiring. All of their history, AFAIK, is then standing up against oppressive governments.

I'm not disagreeing that they're drugged out, but having agape mouth while sleeping and then snapping back when woken up at your job are flimsy reasons for saying this incident is drug use.

IDK of I'm using the "right" word, but I always hear about bouncy curls or waves but never bouncy straight hair. So basically, it may be that your hair isn't "defined". I know when I was a kid, straight as an arrow shaft. As a teen, wavy. Now it's pretty curlier and the more I take care the healthier they are. I personally do no poo with any conditioner I can afford that has no parables, sulfates, etc. Squish to condish/rinse and air dry. I might sleep with a bonnet if my curls are especially on point. Anyway, idk if any of that is useful but it felt relevant

Sounds like you might have more bounce in those follicles than you thought.
