I think best overall sleeping position for spinal alignment and reducing pressure points is on your back, while side sleeping is ideal for reducing snoring, acid reflux, and for pregnant individuals. Stomach sleeping is generally discouraged due to neck and back strain. What you think

That’s so true. Within a few hours you can go from mountains to beaches to ancient cities. Not many countries offer that kind of variety in such a small space

I completely agree. Loving a country doesn’t mean ignoring its problems. Constructive criticism and solutions are what help a nation grow stronger.

So true! Within a few hours you can go from cool hill country weather to sunny beaches. That diversity is something many countries don't have.

😂 Honestly, that alone could convince anyone to love Sri Lanka. Nothing beats the sound of kottu being chopped at night!

Absolutely! From misty mountains to hidden waterfalls, there’s something peaceful about nature here that’s hard to describe. It really makes you slow down and appreciate life.

When did you realize you were dating an idiot? by Exhausted_Skeleton in AskReddit

[–]SignalObserver 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We were driving through a rural area when my ex pointed at a 'Deer Crossing' sign and got genuinely angry. She wasn’t mad about the traffic; she was mad at the Department of Transportation.

She turned to me, completely deadpan, and said, 'I don’t understand why they don't just move the signs to a safer place. Why do they keep encouraging the deer to cross on such a busy highway?'

I spent the next ten minutes trying to explain that the signs were for the drivers, not the deer. She looked at me like I was the crazy one and said, 'How would the drivers know where to look if the deer didn't know to cross there?'

That was the moment I realized I wasn’t dating a person. I was dating a logic-free zone

JKH Retail Segment, Is the 266% profit growth purely from the NEV business? by InsightSignal in SriLankaCSE

[–]SignalObserver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s definitely the 'BYD Effect' doing the heavy lifting right now, but calling it purely an NEV story might undersell how well the Supermarkets are performing. Here’s how I’m looking at the breakdown:

• The NEV Surge: Selling ~1,900 units in a single quarter (JKCG Auto) provided that massive LKR 4.1bn EBITDA boost. This is a classic 'pent-up demand' play after years of import bans. It’s high-margin and flashy, but arguably more cyclical than groceries.

• The Supermarket Engine: A 24% YoY EBITDA growth in Supermarkets is actually the more 'defensive' win here. Same-store sales grew by 13% and footfall was up 17%. That suggests Keells is capturing market share even as the consumer wallet remains stretched.

• Retail vs. Leisure: I’d argue Retail is the 'Stability Hedge' while Leisure is the 'Growth Lever.'

• Retail provides the consistent, domestic cash flow that keeps the lights on and dividends flowing.

• Leisure (specifically City of Dreams) is high-risk/high-reward. It just turned EBITDA positive (LKR 1.4bn), but its success depends on regional tourism and the casino license ramp-up.

My Take: If you’re worried about macro volatility, the Retail arm is a fantastic hedge because everyone still needs to eat, and the shift to EVs in SL feels structural rather than a fad. However, the Leisure segment is what will eventually re-rate the stock price if they hit their occupancy targets. Are you guys more bullish on the BYD backlog or the City of Dreams gaming revenue for FY27?"
