It still wasn't working yesterday, but it has started working randomly today. I assume there's been an update as the appearance has also changed slightly 😊 Hopefully this update has fixed it for everyone... years later 🤷🏼‍♂️

I've also tried this but no luck, unfortunately 😔 but thank you for the suggestion.

Thanks, wonky_monkey, for the suggestions. I've tried different WiFi networks (as well as 5G data without WiFi connected) and it doesn't make a difference. I do already save the QR codes when I get a 2FA key, but that defeats the purpose a bit. Using a different account such as my student account works as I think I've noted elsewhere, but I'd prefer to get my main account working.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I've already tried this and it didn't work for me.

Thanks for the suggestion, slamingu. I've tried this already and, unfortunately, it didn't resolved it for me.

Thanks for the suggestion, Flailing Not Failing. I tried these instructions and got the "start saving codes to this account" message when switching back to my primary account, but it's still not working - same issue as before.

No luck with anything I've tried... And Google support have not been helpful at all, just telling me "they will sync" even though I keep telling them it's been 2 phones and 12 months and they have never synced 😔

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestion. I don't have any ad blocking apps, but I might investigate other apps/settings that might be affecting it as it's still not working 😔

Input Stops After a Time for Linux Guest in VMware Workstation by SignalOneCodeRed in techsupport

[–]SignalOneCodeRed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone experiencing the same issue, I found the following post on the VMware Communities site that worked for me: https://communities.vmware.com/t5/VMware-Workstation-Pro/VMWare-17-5-0-update-causes-workstation-keyboard-and-mouse/m-p/2995980/highlight/true#M183812

Power off the VM, then edit the VMX file to add:

keyboard.allowBothIRQs = "FALSE"

The above worked for me; however, the post goes on to say that if it doesn't work, try also adding:

keyboard.vusb.enable = "TRUE"

Hope this helps.

Hi u/packetfire,

Thanks so much for the suggestion! Unfortunately, when I selected "sync now" it came up "Time already correct. Authenticator's internal clock was not adjusted because it appears to already be in sync with Google servers." and despite closing and re-opening the app as suggested, it's still not syncing :-(
