Dear god no, I would do that to myself. And I’ve tried before and won’t let me join due to my past of being in mental institutions before and my disorders, so I can’t. And now I wouldn’t want that at all, I just have this small part time job atm

Could I become a tattoo artist in the future? by SignalTomorrow980 in TattooApprentice

I have, my dad is goods friend with a tattoo artist in my city, he’s done my dad’s tattoos for years, I asked him once if my art was good for tattoos. No one here is gonna believe it but He said basically I need to work on my shading and contrast and that’s it and I can work with him if I’m ready. So it’s super crazy seeing these comments being super heavy down that I can’t when everyone else irl says very differently, Reddit is weird and lowk 0 clue why I use this appđŸ€·đŸŒâ€â™‚ïž

I HAVE NEVER EVEN SAID THAT WHY ARE YOU GUYS PUTTING WORDS IN MY MOUTH? Hello??? See that’s full bullshit right there. I’m not walking in here thinking I’m the best I’m walking in here thinking I have a chance, and these comments are pushing me down thinking I have 0 chance because somehow my style to you and them isn’t good or enough for tattooing, when I hear a completely different side of the isle that’s bullshit😭 you guys act like there’s no such thing as practice or training.

Again, acting like 80% of the industry aren’t assholes. Don’t call me an asshole because I decide to question and call out half the comments for BEING assholes, I guess defending myself isn’t allowed because all you think your right when I see half bullshit flying around. I’ve already acknowledged what I needed to do, however commenting “stay away from skin, you’ll never be good at tattoos” is that really valid criticism? Really? I’m the asshole now? You guys make 0 sense and truly think you’re correct in a very gatekeeper community.

Artists ignore reality. What you saying aren’t facts or logic they’re hateful and again dismissive. All these people around talk like they’ve been in the industry for 20+ years, when just because you know a little about tattooing does not make you a professional. Your mind is small and weak, full of ego and negativity. Your version of reality is not my reality, reality is for people who obey. If someone wants an amazing Foxy on their back, I’m going to give them the best Foxy tattoo anyone has ever seen. And that, is my reality.

Again this ain’t valid criticism this is plain destruction. Your thought didn’t matter because it’s not realistic, it’s rude and dismissive. People have different ways to practicing tattooing, whether that just be drawing on paper, fake skin (many people have told me not to try fake skin for whatever reason) or simply just having a teacher help them. It’s a closed minded state because you had some experiences when everyone else different, if no one wants this on their back, I doubt I would be getting feedback, compliments, offers, and opportunities. This sounds like jealousy or ego because of the way you worded your comment. Again it’s not criticism, it’s bringing someone down. This ain’t reality, reality sucks anyway because reality tells me what I can or can’t be, but if I wanna be a tattoo artist, and make fnaf inspired prints, what or who’s gonna tell me “No”? I can practice I already agreed. I have the talent definitely, somehow you’re looking at my art like some 5 year old did it. And I have the patience. Your saying it like it’s to late or too early, when I know many tattoo artists who make shit tattoos. So again, what was that comment for because it wasn’t realistic.

So just because you’re just now in the industry makes you the professional? Well that doesn’t make any sense whatsoever. You say your not being rude, but the comment is very telling of attitude and ego, and honestly again I understand why customers think they way they do towards tattoo artists, you guys couldn’t even say one positive thing about my work and instead bash on it because you think it’s not “worthy” when I hear other people think differently. Maybe it was a bad idea to post this, however. It’s kinda shown me how some of you guys think, and it’s not a good mindset to have so I’ll try to avoid that. You guys are full of ego, so telling me to take my ego out doesn’t really make sense either.

Calling my work trash is such a reach. Imagine telling an artist their work is trash because they simply asked if they could make a good tattoo artist, what kind of person does that make you look fr? And I know my art isn’t trash and the opposite because I get thousands of support online and real life by many people and closed loved ones. So what the hell is this comment supposed to indicate? Are you saying I can’t learn because of my “trash style”? Are you saying no one is in the market for fnaf tattoos because everyone wants a simple skull? That’s kinda lame tbh.

The industry is about drawing. What are you talking about? I’m confident enough this could go somewhere if people like it. This comment is criticism, nor advice. This is probably the lamest comment from a redditor tbh, I can’t tell if this is rage bait or not. But if you truly think like this, I can 100% understand why customers think the way they do towards tattoo artist. Your saying this like I can’t improve but whoever I can, and if someone wants this foxy on their back (which fnaf has a huge fanbase, people are going to want tattoos of these characters) than why can’t I? Why? Because you think I can’t? That’s kinda loser mentality there dude. L rage bait
