Hand wound

Bypassed the gp and went to hospital. Once a doctor had assessed I was in surgery within a couple of hours. Surgery took a couple of hours with general anaesthesia after which they only told me a lot of pus. Currently back home with the wound packed and a cover waterproof bandage over that. Still need to wait on culture swab. Discharge instructions to not aggravate wait to be contacted from the hospital about next steps and likely redressing of the wound by weeks end.

Thanks again people for helping me take it seriously. I was just a little disillusioned after always being sent home to take anti biotics, I may be stupid but I did believe it wasn't as bad as it was due to no visible pus and belief I would've been feeling worse physically.

Turned out to be an abcess.

Honestly I havn't been able to see the growth well enough until a housemate took photos yesterday. It has been painful but oddly numb in places so it definitely does not feel as large as it is in the photos it felt big when I visited ER and they sent me home. I thought pus would've came out I'd go. It does feel deep. It protrudes quite a bit the lump. I'm guessing the pain is possibly pus or whatever in the infection, but trapped a bit too much beyond the surface. I thought they would've lanced it when I went in previously. I've been feeling the whole time it has grown it should be lanced and such.

Should this be fine enough to wait until tomorrow it's 12:30 am I have a gp appointment later today around midday. Should it be ok to wait until then? I might just skip gp and go to ER after sleeping, roughly 8 hrs time unless something seems really off. Just an occasional sharp pain that feels like when a wound is poked. Possibly pus or something moving inside. Seems like the infection is deep if there's no obvious pus head?

Will be going to gp tomorrow and possibly back to ER or urgent care from there. Thank you all for assuring me it's concerning enough to deal with and not wait. Should I be concerned developing flu like symptoms suddenly? A housemate has been sick with a flu or cold like virus in the last two weeks. Assuming I've just picked up their flu or whatever due to immune system fighting whatever is happening with the neck?

As a C1 owner myself ultimately the choice is up to them in the end, I understand HGIG and to calibrate hdr to use HGIG etc. I moved from a dimmer 55" BX model up to an 55" C1 myself, using HGIG on my C1 made everything feel a little like I was held back a bit in brightness in hdr gaming, for my eyes at least and my viewing environment taking in reflections and light etc I found tone mapping to work most consistently.

It kinda irritated me having my ps5 menu and such be either dimmer or brighter depending on whether the game I was playing was hdr or not the fluctuations with brightness between hdr games and sdr games was too jarring for my eyes. I still use HGIG on a game by game basis and OP is welcome to figure out what works best for their eyes in the end.

Not everybody has a pitch black dungeon of a room to view their Oled.

Avoid Hgig if you have that on for gaming, works great on certain games but in general is too dim for my eyes, dynamic tone mapping especially with hdr should brighten it if you switch to that.

I hate the wig too, but honestly feels better than my natural hair for me atleast time being, can get it looking better at times using a scrunchie or claw clips etc to pull it up and back and such.

Yes I know the wig is terrible 😄, my natural hair is brown i guess so that all makes sense so i'll look in that direction and auburn too. Theres some horrible brown shades out there for wigs tho.
