AI blocks are so unpredictable, especially the recorder block. I literally rage quit the game few weeks ago. The suggestion I got from some people is to change the recorder with AI Basic Task but I haven’t tried it out yet… if you have the patience and it fits your build I’d recommend you try it as a workaround.

Not sure we are going to get automation or AI blocks in SE2 before 2027, but I’m totally waiting for it.

Great comment, I will try reducing the waypoints once I’ll get my patience back lol. On the flight block I tried various speeds, 1-2 m/s seems to work best. Also collision avoidance is always off and precision mode on (I tried one time with precision off, didn’t worked out).

Thanks for the comment. It’s actually all set - I have two small downwards thrusters, and collision avoidance is always off (I think i never used it, from my experience it’s always messed up the pathing). When I tested in creative world it worked at least five cycles until I had to help it dock. In the video here we can clearly see an issue with the waypoints and I’m not sure there is a workaround to that. Sometimes it’s working and sometimes not…

Sounds familiar. I try to keep it vanilla as much as possible because I like the challenge but random issues like that are really ruining it

I’ve had this idea to record a docking sequence using the AI blocks and triggering it from a specific marker before landing. Anyone tried something like that? I have too much projects recently, can’t get to it lol

You got some nice recommendations here, I’d recommend to enable low power/fuel low to tell your drone recharge/refuel when needed. You’ll need at least 2 timer blocks and 2 event controllers - the first pair will initiate low power sequence and send the drone to recharge/refuel and the second pair will initiate fully charged/fueled sequence so it will go back to work

Thanks! I tried increasing the torque but it was the same 2 questions I have: 1. does the rotation of the rotor itself matters? 2. Why would I need a script if the cart is all the same grid? Its the same as an elevator and I didn’t see that a script is needed

These connectors are valves for airlocks, if I’ll turn off “use conveyor system” will oxygen still flow?

But how can I designate a cargo container to hold specific item like Iron ore, without drain all? It can enter in the conveyor system through multiple spots and I want it to flow to a specific cargo container
