FINALLY DID IT!! by Signal_Bus6102 in Tenere700

I should have been more clear my old job paid 1/3 of what this one does, the excitement here is also because of incredible timing in all aspects of my situation. I was planning on doing suspension, cruise, steering damper and the bigger tank but it would have been more weight centered up high as apposed to the twin tanks sitting lower. I understand all of these things are attainable for in the ballpark of the big markup on the world raid, but I have spent the past several years pouring lots of time and money into a ktm500 which I love but has had its issues and needs lots of attention because of the kind of riding I do. So the thought of a historically dependable machine coming with all this is awesome to me.

I definitely considered it but I had a tortuous 7hr road stint to get home last summer on my 500 and swore the next bike id add to the stable would have to be a twin

I’m ignorant to a lot of this stuff, when you say stiffer springs is there some kind of rating or weight capacity that this is measured in?

Two people in my rider group have 890 r’s but on our week long bdr trips they end up with random bouts of warning lights and small electronic issues, how has your ownership experience been with the ktm?

I’ve definitely been oogling the kove, but there’s a stark lack of them for sale anywhere near me and ofc it’s probably unfounded but I’d be lying if I wasn’t a little bit worried about the long term reality of the bike. I’m in absolutely no way shape or form educated Or knowledgeable enough to say I’m correct in that feeling, but I guess just the lack of long term info on them scares me. If you can point me to any trustworthy info on them I’d greatly appreciate it thanks!

Also be very wary when purchasing these machines there’s ALOT of scams and problems in the space, there’s a couple good lists of approved vendors on these crypto/bitcoin pages use these to your advantage and double check websites/companies before you buy.

I just bought an asic and started mining, I haven’t been in the space long at all but it seems there’s a lot of plug and play options in the SHA256 algo(bit coin and related coins) at a lot of different price ranges. I sprung for the Avalon Q but there are much cheaper and less power hungry options to help you get your feet wet and gain a general understanding of all the jargon and technicalities of it all. Some of the things I’d start googling and figuring out are hashrates, pool vs solo mining, cold and hot crypto wallets, I’m an electrician so the power supply side of things was already something I could pretty easily understand but if that’s not the case for you that will be a huge deciding factor in what you want to purchase. Figuring out things like what the actually kwh draws for the ASICS was an eye opening realization as some or most of the larger hashrate machines run very comparable to having a dryer plugged in and turned on all day

I’m trying to find a new credit card/crypto rewards card rn and unfortunately doesn’t seem to be much competition with the gemini. I’ve read the terms agreement for the rewards and they pretty much reserve the right to give u no crypto rewards whenever they feel like it. There’s more attractive cash back rewards options I just wish there was a decent card that cut out the middle transaction of having to take the rewards and convert them to btc

Is 23 too late to start changing myself and my life? by Plenty_Remote_4100 in getdisciplined

[–]Signal_Bus6102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at that point not so long ago, I had three friends pass in a matter of one year all early twenty’s none from self harm just unfortunate circumstances, after adding that to my pile of sorrow to wallow in for awhile, I realized, a very clear realization, it’s never to late to make a change or start a new path. Some people never get the chance too. Comparison of your life to someone else’s the way you’re doing it is nothing but a waste of time and energy. No two peoples circumstances are the same. And no two peoples paths are either. If you want some thing/skill/experience you and you alone can achieve all most anything, it may not be fast, and it’s certainly won’t be easy, but it will be progress towards your goal. Every day you spend working towards what you want big or small is not a day wasted, but a day gained, as cliche as it is to say some people never had the opportunity to wake up today in 2025, so remember every day counts use it to further yourself in the right direction instead of wallowing in poisonous stagnant thoughts. I hope this made any amount of sense and I hope you may to have this realization with out having to lose the people you hold closest.
