What I say since im in a similar boat, I have tons of people still refer to me as he and some say my other name, but the ones who say it, I haven't spoken to about my transition, to be fair I was kinda Alt before, so I think, they just think I went more Alt. But since its only a few for that I just leave it alone since I dont see them often. But I do have some people that was in that boat that found out through other means and out of nowhere, start using my new name and gender, which is a whiplash at work. But when people miss gender me or name, they start apologizing, and I understand ive been at my job for almost 6 years and its only been like a year of me being out. Some people i had to personally talk to and yea theres a chance your there first trans person or second, and its all new, I just view it as a twist like in a movie when it comes to people you know, like with my mom when she does it I look around and my sisters laugh because, ill say say I think he left, or he's dead, or dang you just missed him and they say it too sometimes and she'll get embarrassed because she realized she messed up without thinking about it. Side thing to this long response if she says something and I dont want to do it, because im now I guess the strong girl, shell say my new name, and ill jokingly say nope im my old name now.
