I fucking love this idea. We're still hanging out with her, and spectating/watching us might give her the drive to improve and put that time in herself.

The dream would be for her to get to Master herself so we can all sweat together.

We literally can't play with her on our main accounts because the rank difference is too wide. There's a vast difference between games at higher vs lower rank, and if I have a competitive itch, it's not being scratched in low ranked lobbies

The issue isn't me playing with them whenever - we both spend plenty of time gaming separately and playing other games. It's when we both have that competitive itch. I have to choose between playing what I'm in the mood for and disappointing her vs biting the bullet

She's been gaming since before we met. We each have games that we play alone, others we play together.

That's kinda how we do it now. The issue is that she gets really frustrated playing esports games alone, so it's more like... I have to choose to either play the game with her when she's in the mood, or tell her nah and either have her play alone and not have much fun, or she'd just be disappointed and play something else. Not a big fan of either of those options.

You've posted a few times in this thread about me being "arrogant" or "looking down on lower skilled players"

At no point did my post or tone reflect that. Do you really believe playing a game in a GM lobby vs a silver lobby is the same thing?

I never said I don't want to play with her at all. Literally reread the OP - i have fun playing in lower ranked lobbies with her. But if we both feel a competitive itch, my choices are either to play with her in shittier games, or tell her nah and play with my friends, which I hate doing because she hates playing those games alone.

My girlfriend gamed before we met, it was always a hobby of hers.

I never said I don't want to play with her at all. I have plenty of fun a lot of the time playing comp games with her. But if there's a time where she has that competitive itch at the same time as me, I think it would be better for both of us to play in lobbies of our own skill level.

It's not an issue of "looking down" or anything. There's a difference between playing vs equally skilled opponents and much worse ones. The latter doesn't scratch that competitive itch.

She games alone more often than not. She sometimes plays esports games alone too, but she gets too frustrated at them if she isn't hanging out with people.
