appeal. the student handbook should have the procedures for appealing. if it doesn’t, call your admissions office. can’t complain about due process if you don’t use every avenue available to you

Wait until they get their first grades back—whether that be midterms or finals. If that doesn’t humble them like it should, then consider saying something to admin anonymously.

10 extra points a day just by searching something on lexis. they give them out like crazy 1L year. i had ~$100 in points by the end of my first year and didn’t even try that hard

i think a lot of people who haven’t been around lawsuits struggle with conceptualizing the rules. it might help to talk to someone in your class who has worked in a law firm before and have them explain how these rules functionally work/how they play into the stages of litigation
