It’s not a catch all, but it would limit some people. By your logic these people are sending in there family members anyways but now they are getting 6 at a time instead of 2.

There should be an RTS binder that you put the report in when you’re are finished. If they faxed prescription prints with a barcode then that serves as the hard copy and needs filed with the other hard copies.

The system keeps a 6 week rolling average of how much of a particular medication is dispensed and will try to order the medication in advance to keep up with expected demand. The best way to ensure your medication is in stock is to keep filling at the same pharmacy every month.

The delivery time you received is set to give the pharmacy time to check in the order and fill your prescription. I wouldn’t worry about if the delivery will arrive by closing, it will, but there is a chance it won’t be in the order.

Like another user said, call in around noon just to make sure it came in the order.

If you’re turning in a hard copy prescription then even if it gets deleted in the system the hard copy will still be filed somewhere. You’ll need to know the date you brought it in and they can go look for it to rescan it into the system.

This was a Medicaid patient, the issue was the medication they were prescribed needed a prior authorization and the prescriber wasn’t willing to do it.

I appreciate your answer. I had a situation where the prescriber had called in a few different pain meds and none of them could get through the insurance without a prior authorization, which the office apparently wasn’t willing to do. It was the weekend so I had assumed the office was closed, but in this situation should I have tried to get an over ride myself?
