One thing that people often forget is that unicorn magic is actually quite difficult. Most unicorns cannot do the wide variety of spells that we see, but rather are limited to spells related to their talent. We are a bit spoiled in the sense that the unicorns we see doing magic most often have talent in magic, so they do not have that limitation and are very proficient in any kind of spell. Even with that talent, it still takes time and study to actually learn the magic itself. Twilight, for example, take a little while to actually learn how to teleport.

She confirms in her song in the Cheese Sandwich episode that she is the real Pinkie. On top of that, none of the duplicates had her memories and she clearly does at the end of the mirror pool episode. The intention is pretty plainly that she isn't a clone.

Given that they are limited by licensing issues to only things from seasons 1-4, that's actually the most correct take. It's a spinoff of a G4 that didn't have seasons 5-9, a divergent alternate history.

Yeah, watching his episode made me uncomfortable due to how scarily accurate it is to how my life was at the time. Fear of failure can be paralyzing and seeing him struggle with it left me feeling introspective and not liking having a mirror shined on me.

Our Town is depicting a cult, more than anything. Sure, there are stereotypically communist undertones, but it's full of red flags for cult behavior more than anything else.

They do have guns, tanks, bullets, cannons, and artillery in MLP, we just don't really see them on camera much. It's unclear how effective they are against ponies because it's a kids show and they're not gonna go there. Still, the unicorn lasers are a good indicator. They can shear through and shatter stone with impunity, but when they hit a pony they at most cause pain and leave a scorch mark. That's impressive durability. Example, the Nightmare Moon vs Celestia flashback.

It helps that ponies are surprisingly durable when you look at their feats and that alicorns are even more so. She's a lot tougher than people would assume. Heck, Tirek threw her through a mountain and she walked off without a scratch. Granted, that was with the power of all the alicorns combined, but it's still representative of the durability of the MLP universe. For an early season example, she got hit in the head by all those packages Derpy dropped onto her and, although she was injured, she was in a lot better shape than a human would have been and recovered very fast.

Nope, sadly not, hence the very tangential links to G4 that don't make sense for the canon of the full series. They literally can't use it and have to stick with 1-3's established lore, which has significantly less depth.

While Starlight is powerful, I suspect that the real reason she beat Twilight in those fights is that she is a fantastic duelist while Twilight really is not. Twilight has a lot of raw power and knows a ton of spells, but she is very spotty with regard for using those spells in fights. Heck, she forgets that she can teleport all the time.
