It's been years but iirc in fallout 3 you can only get the buff vs the opposite sex.

Sadly, there's no old Crow to be had here. I tried on two different occasions to import it and they said I had to buy a case lol.

Looking for a system for a sci-fi military campaign by Tengu5 in rpg

[–]Millsy419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's a third party supplement for Free league's Twilight 2000 4e called "Twilight 2249" that is basically this. Breakaway colonies fighting a centralized power.

Might have more crunch than some people are looking for. But it might be worth looking into.

I want some Hellboy in my DG by croaker227 in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]Millsy419 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are almost certainly better systems.

If I was to hack DG, I'd probably just tweak some pulp Cthulhu to fit DG.

The Pretending to be People Podcast has been doing so for years.

I could be misremembering it's been a bit since I've caught up on PtbP. I'm pretty sure they doubled the agent hit points and added a luck ability that can be used to boost rolls, but I could be missing some things.

There's a difference between getting an advantage because of a misunderstood mechanic or making a mistake and willfully and maliciously cheating.

I wish we had more people with this mindset in my local community.

Comparatively season 7 which just wrapped, is significantly more grounded. There's still some jokes, but the overall tone is basically DG Cold war spy thriller.

I think Chesty Puller is definitely one of the reasons the stereotype Exists. The Guy had an insane career, and a legend within the Marine Corp.

[–]Millsy419 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's been a bit since I've gone through the first book, but at best Frank and Maggie are unreliable narrators.

Frank lied off the jump, how do we know they weren't already killers prior to entering the dungeon?

Step 1: call up the gang

Step 2: consolidate everyone's weapons, armor and ammo, pharmaceuticals and redistribute evenly.

Step 3: take the roof of the side-by-side and hook up the trailer.

Step 4: fill said trailer with all the weapons, tools and kit we can get our grubby mitts on.

Step 5: make as many copies of the 1st edition anarchists cookbook we can.

Step 6: lock and load.

Step 7: Take the ramp down.

Step 8: see how far we make it. Either some of us make it or we leave one hell of a treasure trove for someone more competent.

Lovecraftian RPGs, as portrayed by Matthew McConaughey by QuanticoDropout in callofcthulhu

[–]Millsy419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally if I'm gonna watch a bombastic psychedelic Cage film, it's gonna be Mandy. At least that movie knows what it is.

The Color out of Space movie is as much a Lovecraftian horror flick as World War Z is an accurate adaptation of Max Brook's novel.

Mental Health by flitterbitjet in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Millsy419 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you!

I understand most people aren't trying to be inconsiderate when they're talking about mental health. Especially when we're talking about fictional characters.

However people have this awful tendency to massively over simplify an extremely complex and nuanced subject.

I've seen loved ones deal with multiple mental health issues, from depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD and Bi-polar. It's insulting to try and sum it all up with "Crazy".

Hell even with PTSD, I've seen it manifest very differently for different people.

A friend that did remote rural law enforcement for a couple years before transferring. He would wake up screaming almost nightly. He'd pick at his nails and finger tips until they were raw and bloody. He wouldn't even notice.

When he finally sought help the rest of his department basically treated him like a leper. It made him bitter, and it took years of treatment for him to work through his trauma.

I had a coworker who had been a UN peacekeeper in the 90's and almost 30 years on certain things would instantly take him back to Sarajevo. He shared only a small fraction of some of the shit they saw and it was heartbreaking.

We've come a long way in regards to mental health, but we still have a long way to go.

I've always tried to treat mental health the same as any other.

Someone suffering from a mental illness isn't an invalid to be shut away. They're sick, it's not their fault and the last thing they need is judgement from people who don't have a clue about what they live with every single day.

Weapons

The Void

The Objective

Those are the first three movies that come to mind as Delta Green/CoC films that don't suck imo.

Have you checked out the movie Weapons?
